TIL in the '02-'03 NBA season, Tmac averaged 32.1/6.5/5.5. Didn't know he used to be THAT good by xSmoothxin nba

Nope, as a Raptors fan and former VC fan, I have to admit he was clutch as hell.

I think you've given this a little too much thought... weird thoughts...

Also, love how the announcers didn't even start acknowledging what was happening until they were about 10 points down.

So my bank account just had $7000 randomly deposited in it, seeking advice... by JonasKurasin personalfinance

[–]enozten 18 points19 points ago

Whatever you do, don't spend it. I'm guessing somebody put the wrong account number in when they were doing a transfer and it went into your account. I'm sure somebody will come looking for it soon, and it would suck if you spent it and had no way to pay back the 7000.

This was a pretty poorly written article, but the aside about the secret santa gift was pretty powerful. Wish that had a better resolution...

So we're talking about arms trafficking (automatic weapons) and attempted murder (where they were planning on dismembering the bodies) and the most serious charge was intent to distribute cocaine?? This country's laws are fucked up.

"The most serious charge lodged in the case - conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine - carries between 10 years and life in prison and up to a $10 million fine."

95% of these guys don't make the NBA and are just regular joes afterwards. We're not talking about the future millionaires here, just kids who are making the schools a lot of money and will have an essentially useless skill (plus a marginally useful degree) afterwards.

What was your first impression of Reddit? by afkobayain AskReddit

[–]enozten 0 points1 point ago

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but: "This isn't as funny as Digg."

However, the articles did show up 2 days earlier than they did at Digg, so I used both sites until Digg 4.0 or whatever the fuck that was called and started using Reddit exclusively.

Does this take up RAM after it's closed? That's all I want from a Reddit app but alas it seems like it's impossible. Everything has to take up 20 mb when I don't want it running and bogs down the system for no reason.
