Well, her pigeons are in a rural area, and are in a somewhat closed environment. I personnaly wouldn't eat a pigeons from the city, but I think it would probably be as safe as eating at any fast food place. I will start raising pigeon next year, I'll keep you posted on what I discover.

Pigeon is actually quite good. My aunt in Hungary raises them for eating. She also uses the eggs, they are quite small, like quail eggs. She prepares it like you would a chicken for roasting. It's very tender, and has a darker meat than chicken.

Made the move from Utah, it's definitely nice to have other perspectives than one main religion.

I'm officially a bad parent by Octogenarianin Parenting

[–]eloquine 0 points1 point ago

You are not a bad parent, actually you are an awesome one because this accident affects you so much. It happens, and it sucks that you need to go through this, you and your son. I remember the first time my son rolled of the mattress that was on the floor, he was only a few months old. He was fine, I was a wreck for weeks. Talk to your wife, cry, and talk to your son. He will be fine if he sees this was an accident and that you love him so much you can't sleep because of this stupid accident.

I once witnessed a guy lose his head (literally) coming home from work...has anyone else ever been unlucky enough to see a stranger die on a street? by Kbarlowin AskReddit

I saw a woman fly a few feet from me when I was 6. She was a few feet from us, and the car hit her so hard, that she flew for a few meters. It was beautiful, and scary once she hit the pavement. There was blood everywhere. I don't know if she died, my mom went to the courthouse to testify (she was the one who remembered the plate number on the scene; it was a hit-and-run).

I have a condition called dermatographism AKA 'skin writing'. What's something strange about your body that's not necessarily good or bad? by NotTart5in AskReddit

[–]eloquine 0 points1 point ago

When I am really hungry, I sometimes have an incontrolable spit of saliva coming out of my mouth, like a snake would do before eating. My son has that as well, my husband called me to explain what just happened. I thought everybody had that, well now I know it's not normal :) Also, I never had any cavities, but that's not that unusual. Also, no headaches, ever.

How can I not miss this flight? by looking_for_thoughtsin AskReddit

[–]eloquine 0 points1 point ago

A quick note, I had a friend who used her .edu email address, and AA forwarded it to a gmail account instead. I also got a confirmation email from AA for another person who has the same username than me, only with a .edu account, and was forwarded to my gmail account. So if you used a .edu, check with them to see if they forwarded it to a gmail account with the same username.

All I wanted for Christmas was the new book of my favorite author. Told my mom about it months before, told her when she asked what I wanted for Christmas. It was the only thing I was speaking about for weeks before Christmas. It was the first year after my dad passed, she received a lot of money from life insurance, and we were really poor before. So we usually received almost nothing for Christmas, or a DVD for all the kids for example. That year, she bought me a gold ring, and a gold bracelet. It was obvious it was an expensive gift. Well, all I wanted for Christmas was that book, and 15 year old me didn't care about jewelry (still don't). So I started crying, then my mom started crying, and we had a huge fight about how ungrateful I was. She was doing her best to keep us happy, and I guess she thought that buying us expansive gifts that we never had before was her way to make us happy after dad passed away. I feel pretty bad about it now. But it was a crappy gift.

Not so easy and cheap to get here (in terms of getting the citizenship) though, if you want to do it legally.

I'm assuming that everyone on r/iPad has an iPad or plans on getting one soon. So why did you choose the iPad over the other tablets? by varmanjin ipad

[–]eloquine 1 point2 points ago*

I wanted to buy a tablet because I was in school and pregnant. Carrying a bag was becoming more and more difficult everyday. I wanted something robust, that I could drop a million times. I didn't want to worry if my baby threw up on it either. Apple seemed like the best option, I wanted something the very same day, didn't want to wait forever or shop around. I wanted something reliable. It was one of the best thing I bought. My husband bought a mac book air, iphone, and ipad 2 since then. Very very good products. Also, I was the first person to have one at school, I was the cool kid in town (not easy to be in cs (edit: computer science) as a pregnant, married woman, also, a little bit older than the average freshman...)

I check Vnews every now and then. It seems that all their rentals is for now. I'm afraid to wait til the last minute, and jump on the last available rental, which might not be what we are looking for.
