I finished this book about a week ago, and I had no trouble getting into it. I was frightened and spooked by it right away and had to keep reading. He physically plays with the words on the page (as I'm sure you've seen in the coming pages) and you literally start to get disoriented, tired, and lost in the pages. The book took me a bit longer to read than I had imagined it would, but only because sometimes you actually get tired. It's work, but it's exciting. Get excited.

There are a few "stories" that you're going to have to follow - Johnny, Navidson & co., and Zampano. I can't say that any is necessarily better than the other, but they each have their own specific spooky feeling. Have fun!
