But after reading your link, I think this would probably be a large intrusion into privacy and thus not a good idea. The linked facebook thing could even turn out bad in the end for the poster, since she didn't have the rights to publish those photos, technically speaking. But I guess no judge would rule for the thief in that case anyway ...

hmm, that sounds messy indeed ... Maybe we should put up a post if anyone knows a good mod pack?

Our plugin folder is 3.3 gig total. I say our, because i mean the reddit coop plugins which are centralized and very well organized by lilwiseguy, inventingnothing, Rosco and the others. We have all the plugins in subfolders and even DAMNified that whole thing. This could easily be used as a starting point for a reddit plugins pack, if there would be enough interest.

Well, I did reflect, so it definitely wasn't in vain. Especially since you are absolutely right. I wanted to say that the original comment was more interesting, but instead of putting it in my own words, I just fell back to using a standard 'beaten horse' phrase.

I'm a redditor for quite some time now, but I have never thought about it from that angle - so thanks. Plus: I pledge to do my part against this form of circlejerking in the future. It gets rather annoying the longer one visits this site.

I got to say that I never actually used any of the torrent packs, but after installing hundreds of mods manually (Which you easily have if installing all the dependencies and so on), the idea of downloading only one pack for maximum convenience sounded like heaven to me.

Hmm, maybe this reddit has to set out to create THE definitive mod pack out there :)

Try to start with one of the giga packs that are on torrent sites and elsewhere. These are just copy and paste, while the whole modding process is rather unnerving and complicated, what with all the dependencies and stuff.

Maybe I should have chosen "efficient" instead of "successful", you are right.

This tutorial is for those that want max. efficiency and demand.

But on the other side, the specialisation of the cities led to some nice side effects when it comes to region aesthetics. I have one High tech industry city with a few commercial and residential skyscrapers making a nice height difference in the region. My commercial city needed a huge airport, so I built one that is surrounded by a park - nobody wants to work close to an airport.

And my residential citizens are really spoiled. Being the driving economical force in the region, I give them everything they want: Underground highways, lots of bus stops and parks. Oh so many parks.

As you see, I tend to dampen the efficiency bit a little by incorporating little stories and I'm rather happy with the turnout.

I had the same question and this tutorial helped me a lot to build a large region. I'm playing according to this tutorial and I have huge cities with lots of targeted demand.

Hijacking the top comment to add that installing lots of mods takes lots of time and effort. I installed them all manually and learned afterwards that there are Complete Packs out there on torrent sites and stuff. Try a search for the Sim City 4 Gigapack or something similar.

These should take care about all the major plugins and you can still add other plugins afterwards.

Also, may I advise you to check this subbreddit's top comments. Especially the cheat sheet and the infographics are invaluable!

I gave you an upvote for keeping it vanilla, which I did as well for a long time. But after starting to play with mods, I would never go back.

The diversity that is added by CAM alone is such a huge milestone and NAM just makes all the transportation issues so much easier.

err, what exactly did I do wrong? Honestly, I dont get it, please explain. This guy has a direct experience that relates to the submission. It has much more right to be on top than the millionth recursion of "Nice try, FBI/viral marketer/striped shirt guy."
