I'm fairly certain that's exactly what they do. I've seen the inside of Sony PictureStation kiosk...It's a pre-built Dell computer running XP. I think it's fairly common for that to be the way kiosks are built. It's cheap and stable.

Last year, my roommate would invite her boyfriend over for the weekends. I didn't care, and would generally give them the room to themselves and stay with my boyfriend. However I had a class Monday morning and so I returned to my room to shower and get books for class. My roommate would have already gone to class, and her boyfriend would still be asleep in her bed.

One morning, after I showered, I walked back into the room and I glance up at her bed, and her boyfriend has the sheets down to his knees, dick out, and is slowly stroking himself. I whirl around to face away from him and tell him to pull the sheets up. Helicopters. I always feel like they are staring at me. One time I stepped out of my door, and there was one hovering nearly right above my house. I went right the fuck back inside. Now I live next to a hospital where they regularly bring people in by helicopter. It is like hell.

I have a 9" tablet running windows that I use all the time as a college student. I prefer to hand write notes over typing them, as it increases memory, but I hate spiral notebooks, they always get so messy. Also, this way I can just put the lecture powerpoints into onenote and draw/write directly on them. I honestly think it is one of the best things I own, purely for it's practical uses.
