This is a myth or at least contested. The amount of alcohol in the average beer will cause about 4 oz of water loss, so you net about 8oz of water. Shoddy reference.

I don't believe what you want to do is possible. When you turn off the touchpad, the buttons turn off too. I would take this opportunity to teach the user the proper way to use a laptop or just get a wireless mouse. You can drive yourself crazy trying to please everyones strange computer use habits.

I met an interviewee at our security desk where visitors have to check in. Check in process involves security scanning your driver's license and asking for the make and license plate number of your car. He couldn't find his license and was so flustered with the few simple requests from the security guard that I immediately wrote him off. I then proceeded to waste 30 minutes interviewing him.

I think the question is: Should you make everything that is dangerous illegal? At what point does personal responsibility and education come into play? Instead of new laws that have minimal effect, maybe increase mandatory driver's education times and have a drivers test that isn't a joke. Something more along the lines of what Germany does.

HDs are much more expensive than tapes. Those ideas work fine for home/small business. I am more referring to enterprise scale disaster recovery.

Many companies keep weekly and monthly archives, so tape give you the ability to physically put something away in a drawer and say "that is my Dec.31 2011 backup". DVD doesn't give you the needed capacity and BD is too expensive.
