Some Christians stand on the street and bark at people that they're going to Hell. Some atheists constantly belittle theists for having a religion. These are select individuals that do not represent the group as a whole; don't stereotype! (That's the whole point of the first 60 seconds hahaha)

I'm not saying atheists are assholes. (I'm an atheist lol.) I'm saying a lot of people, especially older generations, don't like atheists. (example) Every group of people has its fair share of assholes. I don't like being associated with a group haha.

To clarify: The main focus (the reason I posted) is when NDT talks about -isms and how people will "associate all the baggage and all the rest of the philosophy that goes with it to you, and when you want to have a conversation, they will assert that they already know everything there is to know about you because of that association." I don't tell people I'm an atheist because people assume atheists are in-your-face about religion and they argue with theists and think everyone else in the world is moronic for identifying with a religion. r/atheism used to be (literally years ago) about actual discussion; now it seems like it's mostly just posts on how dumb theists are (not my words). Granted, I've been unsubscribed to r/atheism for probably half a year now, but that's what it was like when I left. TL;DR - The purpose of the post isn't that NDT is an atheist; it's the quote starting at 0:19.

If you copy the degree symbol, you can paste it into autocorrect in Word. I have it set up so that when I type in (o), it autocorrects to °. I teach 9th grade honors chem, so I also have similar setups for mu, nu, lambda, and capital and lowercase delta. (e.g. (m), (n), etc.)

High school teacher here.

I know I'm not a college prof, but this is just how it works, or at least how it does in high school. Creating brand new everything - example problems, tests, homework - is a monumental and wholly unnecessary task.

For instance, when I was an intern teacher, my mentor teacher gave me every test, quiz, hw assignment, note packet, etc. she'd created for the past 4 years. I tweaked them to fit my style and the content of the class I was teaching at a new school. She had spent years perfecting her materials, making sure certain questions were asked a certain way with a certain level of difficulty, so why on earth would it be beneficial to me or my students if I were to start from scratch?

If this guy is saying the stuff is genuinely his when it's not, yeah that's shitty of him, but isn't what's really important what you're learning from the course and not necessarily where it came from?
