What did school teach you that was blatantly false once you researched it on the Internet?

I once had a teacher that was trying to explain temperature (6th grade) and she said that only people and animals had a temperature. I insisted that the desk I was sitting at was the same temperature as the air in the classroom, and she told me that neither the desk or the air had a temperature......

Gonna be blunt, but two things:

1) Honestly, if you're not losing weight, you're eating too much. Log everything. Get a food scale. Weigh it. Be totally honest about what you're eating.

2) If your LDL is that high, go to your doctor and get some medicine for it. Heart disease isn't worth fucking with supplements.

I'm 32, had a dual angioplasty at 28. My natural TC is 700+, and LDL without medication is most of that. I've lost nearly 70 lbs in the last year. Weight loss is 99% diet.

It'll cost a little more than a regular outlet, but get a pop up outlet and forget about spills and crumbs. We put these in desks at the university I used to work for.

This is the correct answer. I had carpet and vinyl linoleum glued down and Jasco is the one thing that took care of it all the adhesive. It is nasty stuff if you get it on you though.
