Enders Game - Battle Arena
Finally getting to play the Marathon, highly recommended. Is it just me, or does everybody read the friendly AI messages in a certain Futurama character's voice? by ar0cketmanin scifigaming

I came to say what Lacquerhead said (who, I just added to my friends list for being awesome). If you can be patient, enjoy the game, read the terminals, try to understand what you can... this game will leave you extremely satisfied. And the best thing is each sequel is just better than the previous. Then you can go read all the overviews of the story and realize just how deep the world is and how much occurred... then you want to play it all over again.
I suggest the hi resolution packs and using alephone as you linked.
Best luck and I hope to see you comment again on what you thought.

As an american living her I can agree, i cringe when I sit on the bus and hear someone talking in english. Its always too loud, as if they are announcing they are important.
Also, dont wear religious paraphernalia.

It certainly is a complex issue.
Thank you,
I think the bottom line is this is a complex issue. I also agree there is some sexism involved, however I also agree that there are points to both sides.
I am fortunate that I don't have to make the decisions politicians and lawmakers do.
[–]deten[S] 0 points1 point2 points 18 hours ago*
There is no sexism. Had you been unemployed, she wouldn't receive any maternity leave either.
This is false. She would. That is the problem.
[–]deten[S] 2 points3 points4 points 19 hours ago
You don't understand what I am saying. The fact that it is good for babies to have breastmilk means NOTHING about whether fathers should be given paternity leave.
Anything you say, in this modern age, can be avoided. E.G. wife could pump milk at the end of day.
The fact is, there is no reason why because I work and my wife doesnt we get zero days of paid leave. Yet if she worked and I didn't we would get 48 weeks of leave.
Its sexism. Someday it will change, fortunately, things always progress slowly... but its unfortunate that merely because she isn't working right now I cannot get paid leave to hep my wife and child in their first few days and weeks of life.
You sound like a cruel person who wants selfishly to get benefits and feels that others just as deserving shouldnt receive them.
[–]deten[S] 0 points1 point2 points 19 hours ago
I can see you are aggressively against men being treated fairly so I see no point in continuing this conversation.
I get zero days of paid leave to spend with my wife, to help her and my baby. However, If it had been reversed, and my wife worked and I did not, we would get somewhere around 48 weeks of paid leave.
If you don't see anything unbalanced about that, then you are cruel and ignorant.
This is misleading. She does get the benefits.
Whether you think its fair or not is another issue.
What you are saying is misleading. Babies dont NEED breastmilk, its GOOD for them to have it.
None of this means women should have 48 weeks off work and men get nothing.
Babie needs breastmilk, here have 48 weeks off work... I see the logic!
Go reread what I said, I never said babies shouldnt have breastmilk.
[–]deten[S] 0 points1 point2 points 19 hours ago*
None of this means that men should be ineligible for a short time off from work to bond with their new child.
In what way does my wife not working mean I shouldn't have a single day of paid leave for being with my newborn?
[–]deten[S] -1 points0 points1 point 20 hours ago*
But its not a handout to expect fair treatment.
Cannot believe this is being downvoted.
[–]deten[S] -6 points-5 points-4 points 21 hours ago
False, infants do not need breastmilk.
I could be as ignorant as you and say something like "Having a baby is not that impressive, every single person alive was in their mothers womb" but that is beating around the bush. I am just as important to my new born baby as the mother is.
If a woman is working and the father is not working, she gets all the benefits. If a man is working and the mother is not, he gets none of the benefits. If you don't see the blatant sexism and unfairness of that then I expect the only argument you can hid behind is something about me wanting handouts... when in reality I only want to be treated the same.
[–]deten[S] 0 points1 point2 points 21 hours ago
She doesn't have a job? So shes not getting any leave is she?
I have a job, why is my leave connected to hers. I am important to my childs life just as much as she is. Also, she has 100% leave :)
You're a provider
Only one of my many important abilities. To think I am solely a provider is sexist and wrong. I am much more than a paycheck and can provide important things to my wife and my child, and look forward to bonding with my child the first few months of its life.
Grow a pair and go to work.
I am comforted to know that the only pathetic arguments you have are to attempt to attack me. Its the same thing that happens in the United States. When people want to be treated fairly they are emasculated, and told they want free handouts.
[–]deten[S] 3 points4 points5 points 22 hours ago
No I expect to be treated fairly and that is not ignorant.
[–]deten[S] 0 points1 point2 points 22 hours ago*
Both sound equally dangerous :)
[–]deten[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 22 hours ago*
Thats a very ignorant response. I could say the same: "Why should I pay taxes for your maternity leave?"
I work, I pay taxes, I should not be given less merely because I am a man.
The fact is, I want to spend time with my child and there is no reason my paternity leave should have anything to do with maternity leave.
[–]deten[S] 6 points7 points8 points 23 hours ago*
Maybe because I love my kid and deserve time to spend with it. Sorry I am not just going to be a paycheck.
You really think a woman needs 48 weeks of leave and a man deserves none?

I have played through Nightmare Act 2, and going Barbarian has been easymode. I almost never die. Its pretty much been when learning new abilities (Arcane mobs piss me off with those floating rotating lazer beams).
I have shitty damage, but I can survive just about anything.
