How to get on to the free WiFi? by emocliaein usyd

[–]davidvuong6 0 points1 point ago

they'e had some obfusticated VPN system that required a 3rd party download

It's pretty straight forward...

Alternatively you can always: http://suits.org.au/wordpress/2011/03/03/tunneling-through-sit-for-free-internet-maclinux/

which is even easier 'cause you don't have to play with cisco's ugly ui.

When I use to play rs (probably back in 2008), I'd use to pay people to do runs for me at this island with the nature alter (can't remember the name, it's been too long).

They would bring 2k noted essence, sell it at a general store, buy it back, run all the way back into the alter and trade me. I'd either trade back the nats or cash (up to them). That, was how I leveled rc...

Question about electives by CameronSmith93in usyd

[–]davidvuong6 1 point2 points ago

You'll have to make a lot of social sacrifices... but, definitively manageable.

INFO1103 will be cake if you've had experience (300580 - Programming fundamentals, UWS). The course is all about programming and only teaches you the basics.

If you have problems with any of your math units, there's a math learning centre in the Carslaw building (4th level I believe). They don't bite.

As for selecting another unit, have you considered INFO1903?

"Don't take it seriously The privacy policy, the contact us page — it’s all a joke. We came up with the idea of building a crawler like this and keeping the maintenance price under $300 a month. There was only one way to prove our theory worked — to implement it in practice. So we did. Now, we find ourselves with a big crawler. We knew what it did but we didn’t know how to use it. So we decided to make a joke out of it. That’s the beauty of jokes — you can make them out of anything."

Phew.

What GUI framework is the best, in your opinion? by Deusdiesin Python

[–]davidvuong6 2 points3 points ago*

I've spent the last year on and off (mostly off) learning python before doing any GUI stuff. At first I tried Tkinter and thought it was terrible. I then quickly switched to wxPython and I've been using it since.

[–]davidvuong6 0 points1 point ago

I've been learning how to use wxPython on my own for the last week. It's very easy to get the hang of. There's sufficient online documentation and it seems to be quite popular.
