Has anyone tried making their own sun-dried tomatoes?

I was curious if anyone used a dehydrator, even though I don't have room for another kitchen appliance. Definitely a surprising amount of time, there. And salt, pepper and herbs are on the checklist.

I've read as long as 8 hours in the oven at low heat - does that sound right?

A forum post mentioned hitting Alt + F10 immediately (and often) during startup to get to the boot sequence screen. This worked and I once again selected Restore Factory Settings, and it restored OK this time. Still, thanks for weighing in, and letting me know that I had an out. Thanks! Now I have some files to transfer ;)
