I was working at a convenience store behind the counter and a woman came in with really long nails. I asked her if she was going to cut her nails once the baby came and she asked what I meant. I told her that my mom used to have really long nails like hers but cut them when she had my little sister. She let me know she wasn't pregnant and tried to have me fired.

Get a checking account that automatically transfers the remainder of your dollar into a savings account (spend $5.60, remaining $.40 goes to savings) it's not much, but that's the point really; you won't notice that your savings are skimmed off the top of your spending.

Also, set your kid up with a savings account in their name and whenever they get birthday/special occasion money put it directly into their account since they're too young to spend it and it's unexpected/unearned money anyways.
