What do you guys keep in your white coats?

My suggestion would be to get a white coat that has inside pockets as well. A stethoscope fits nicely in your inside pocket and won't hang out awkwardly. I used to keep patient records that I needed in my other inside pocket but I didn't have an ipad then. That would be my choice now.

You almost certainly do not need to carry a blood pressure cuff, scopes, or a tuning fork around with you. You probably don't need a reflex hammer if you can get adept at using your stethoscope for that purpose.

Government by lottery as in ancient Athens? It would probably work well in the House, but then instead of disbanding the Senate it might make sense to have a Parliament style Senate. Assuming that members of congress couldn't take any gifts, and can't be re-elected they probably would be less corruptible; however, they may be ill-suited to actually making legislation.
