Raves:

  • I leave in approximately 6.5 hours to visit my best friend in DC!
  • I'm practically all packed, which is a miracle.
  • I passed Crim Law, which is also a miracle.
  • I had a great day at Magic Kingdom yesterday.

Rants:

  • Passing Crim Law means I got a B, which actually drug down my GPA. So the grade in the abstract is good, but in reality is shitty.
  • I stayed out with a friend at the bar till 1am, and still had to pack, so I got about 4 hours of sleep last night.
  • I'm questioning my friendship with said friend, because I get the distinct feeling someone is catching feelings (and we are both in relationships). I don't want them to not be my friend, so that would suck.

The good far outweighs the bad today, but doesn't mean I don't want to complain to someone about the shitty parts! I'm just trying to make it to my flight tonight, dammit. Then I can gtfo this town, and forget all the crappy things for a few days.

It's not just lack of knowledge of options, unfortunately.

I grew up in BFE, too, and a lot of times it's lack of access. It's hard when it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get to anywhere within civilization that would have the services you need. Sometimes, you are stuck with the hometown doctors/clinics, and those are the ones that are seemingly most likely to be judgmental like in OP's story.

We really need to be focusing on both parts: increasing education so that women know they have those options, and actually getting them access to those options!

If you are worried about becoming a lawyer when you're 15 you're going to make a very unpleasant young man and no one likes an unpleasant young man.

Oh, now that's unfair. I knew I wanted to be a lawyer long before fifteen. It didn't stop me from having fun and enjoying life. (Also, as a side note, we don't know whether this is a young man or young woman.)

That said, you really don't need to do anything other than

Enjoy your life, don't get into trouble, don't do anything illegal, get good grades.

for now. Once you get to college, then you can start thinking about more serious prep. For now, the above advice is worth a listen.

That's what mine looks like, too. I didn't do anything to it. But it does prevent the user bar from blocking the view of the field in the banner.
