Anything happening in Downtown this Weekend? by supadupacin twincitiessocial

Girls always have a blast at the strip club but if you can't go to the Seville(21+) it's probably not worth it like I said.

There are better places to eat than Seven, Fogo De Chao and the W. During the day you could take her to the Brit's patio lawn bowling weather permitting. You can probably take her to the W dancing though pretty sure they don't card unless you order a drink. Jetset is 18+ on Friday I believe if you don't mind the gay bar its still one of the nicest bars in Minneapolis imo (might be able to get her in to Marvel before hand if you go early enough) and on Sat. night you have Too Much Love which is 18+. Not sure I would bother with any of the 18+ strip clubs.

You need something along the lines of barcade in Brooklyn. Without selling beer or food they were never going to make enough money.

I mean the Dalwhinnie 15 is probably the cheapest 15yr single malt at like $35 its not complex but that extra 3yrs makes it a little smoother for the entry-level drinker.

Sounds like its too fine and choking the espresso machine. You really need to get a good grinder like a Baratza Vario or something and be using fresh roasted <2weeks espresso.

Come, let us reinforce the stereotype that Redditors love bacon! Free Bacon Night w/ purchase of a pint at the Triple Rock 5/16 by EvyEarthlingin twincitiessocial

The waitress that works it is a bitch, you aren't going to get any bacon or reasonable service. Unless you know her or you are a girl who looks like a boy who likes girls.

My boyfriend is starting a coffee shop blog and wants know what to look for. He would never self-post on this sub but I was wondering if you could help him out? by hb730310in Coffee

In this order. Also I hear Frank in Austin has good coffee.

  1. Quality of Beans
  2. Competence of Baristas
  3. Atmosphere

A packard bell tried to kill me once. Shot a cd through the bezel and shattered in to a million pieces. They really were the worst computers ever made.

I don't know anything about coffee, but I'm dating a guy who LOVES it. I want to get him a nice bag of french roast beans as a gift. Can you give some recommendations? by miss_guidedin Coffee

[–]cleric04 0 points1 point ago

This is a much better idea now that I think about especially cause he's not really in to coffee lets be honest. Intelli Venice is still my favorite coffee shop in the country and I've been to some of the best.

I didn't like Handsome's first espresso but the Scouts Honor is pretty impressive it tastes like cake. The terroir blend right now is pretty good but not quite in the amazing/life changing section.

My new job has the weakest, blandest coffee I've ever tasted in my life. There is a Keurig machine though, so would it be worth it to buy K-Cups? by WildVelociraptorin Coffee

I agree I find the attention to detail on these otherwise simple tasks kind of zen, that 5min where I focus only on making espresso or french press is kind of like a release for me.

You shouldn't let a single bad experience determine your view of a place as a whole, but this is why I will never go to Starbucks again. by corylewin Coffee

I don't know what you really expect why not just go to a coffee shop that only does pour-over and probably has better beans? You will be happier and so will that little bitch barista.

As a PID Silvia owner I would probably tell you to get something in the 1500+ range.

I honestly think the income on Reddit is low maybe its cause everyone is a student or whatever but I see this on most subreddits. In /r/scotch the amount of people spending $100+ a bottle is <10% and in /r/coffee the amount of people with even $1000(very entry-level) espresso setups is <5% and in my local subreddit most people live in crappy neighborhoods. Not to sound like a dick but its just a general observation, I'm just a chump with an average job.

Not really most people define it as 9bar and unless you stand on your aeropress you are probably not getting 9 bar.

Employees Only in New York is supposedly the best bar in the world... Anyone been there? by evilquailin cocktails

Eat Street Social. I'm sure you've already been to Bradstreet, La Belle Vie and Marvel.
