TROPHY CASE

  • One-Year Club

It's coming up to summer, takeover talks are doing the rounds again. by Wossiin NUFC

Unfortunately it is the only realistic way to win anything substantial. Bring it on.

It looked like he was playing quarterback, kept staring one way then passed the other so the defense didn't close down where he was looking. So clever. One of our goals of the season.

It's a case of two perspectives on the same process.

For the player, you have a short career, a short chance to win silverware, and a desire to compete amongst the best in the world (hopefully). The fan only sees things in terms of dogmatic loyalty to their club.

I find it hard to begrudge Carrol, Liverpool are (were) a consistently competitive side. I find it sad he wanted to move on, but as a professional it was maybe the right choice for him at the time.

It would've been stupid for us to reject the offer, and just look what it has led to. We should really be grateful.

My girlfriend has them, give me a couple of days maybe! Glad you enjoyed the video. I love that place. The town itself is beautiful, it has Alnwick Castle (the Harry Potter castle) and Gardens, if you're in the UK the North East is an incredibly underrated area. Really worth checking out.

Here's a video about the place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrHkKXFRbCI

It's the home of the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' slogan and brand. If you're from the UK you'll know that this became huge a couple of years ago. It was an old piece of Government WWII propaganda found in this second hand book store, it was kinda fitting during the height of the credit crunch.

The place is fantastic, it sells all kinds of second hand books (as you can see on the aisle markers in the picture). This ranges from fairly standard popular titles, to rare first editions, to crazy old guides to the Soviet Union. My girlfriend and I spent ages there just flicking through random titles.

I might get back to you with some more pictures of the place, we took a few. It is a fantastic place!

Jaguars won't be as aggressive in 2012's free agency as they were in 2011 | jacksonville.com by CapnSharkin Jaguars

We were incredibly aggressive in 2011, so I wouldn't expect (or want) that many starters signed again. The best teams are built in the draft and then supplemented in free agency.

Look at the annual struggles of the Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles of 2011 vs. Steelers, Pats for example.

What albums do you appreciate more on vinyl compared to any other format? by calebbin vinyl

Wow, awesome story!

I found a first pressing of the album at a local flea market, cost me $15. I sometimes wonder what would be the one thing I'd save if my house was on fire. I think it would be that album.
