If you had a super poison that could completely wipe out any species on earth, what species would that be? by gunnar120in AskReddit

[–]cabr321 2 points3 points ago

Crane flies. Mother of fuck, they scare the everloving shit out of me. Just going to that picture to copy the link was the most traumatic thing I've had to do all week. They're harmless, yes, but they're so big and ugly and so disturbingly awkward and unnatural, and their flight pattern is so fucking hideous and their long, spindly legs and little beady eyes and flitty, batty little wings make me want to gouge my fucking eyes out. Also, they're completely useless; they don't even do anything but eat grassroots when they're larvae then fuck each other so they can produce crotchfruit when they become adults. They look like the dead, tortured souls of starved, poverty-stricken orphans personified into one tiny, yet infinitely fear-instilling creature from hell. Uuugghhh, fucking demon spawns, they are.

They're gone now, but every spring here in Texas they're everywhere, and I'm walking around in a mind-numbingly intense state of constant fear and paranoia with those little shits around for three months.

I was in the last high school freshman class to take the TAKS. Good thing, too; I heard the STAAR or whatever was a pain in the ass. The sophomores I know who took the TAKS last year and field tested the STAAR this year said that the latter is much more difficult than the former.

  • What are some inspirations for the show, its character designs, and its surreal humor?
  • Do you feel like your show has a sort of rivalry with Adventure Time?
  • What all goes into making an episode of Regular Show?
  • The series is rife with innuendo, double entendres, mild swearing, and nightmare fuel. Is it difficult to maintain its TV-PG rating without going overboard? How often have you attempted to include things in the show that were deemed too risque by the censors?
  • How the h did High Five Ghost die?

Regular Show.

  • Short circuited phonographs create a time vortex that summons your future self

  • Passing out from dizziness transports you to an alternate dimension

  • Video game bosses come to life in the real world, personifying the video game system itself

  • Watching seizure-inducing anime tapes literally renders you mindless, sucking your brain into the tape

  • Gods of Eternal youth grant you immortality for performing a yearly ceremonial dance

  • Ear worms take on physical personifications that are only defeatable by even catchier ear worms

  • Saying your name three times into a cloudy mirror brings to life a shadow-demon version of yourself

  • 100 ties in rock-paper-scissors summons an interdimensional, tie-breaking monster

  • Being too cool offsets the balance of cool in the universe, causing you to go on trial at the Intergalactic Headquarters of Cool

I met up with a friend from out of state to see The Hunger Games a couple of months ago. Since my phone was dead, before I left I used my mom's cell to call him and make sure he knew how to get to the theater. After I hung up, without thinking, I habitually slipped her cell phone into my left pocket. 10 minutes into the movie she noticed that her phone was missing so she called it with the home phone, letting out an incredibly loud, piercing ring in the middle of the theater. I still hadn't realized that I had the phone, and I didn't recognize the ringtone, so since it was in my left pocket I assumed it was coming from the guy on my left. We exchanged irritated glances. This continued for a bit, and by the fourth ring everyone around us was obviously pissed off. I nudged him and, with all the politeness I could muster, asked him to silence his motherfucking cell phone. He shot back "That's not my phone" with a look in his eyes and intensity in his voice that said he was about to forcibly castrate me in the middle of the theater. More confused than angry, I felt my left pocket for the first time since the movie had started. Jesus Christ, I feel like a major asshole every time I relive that.

TL;DR- Unknowingly had mom's cell phone in pocket during a movie, and it rang four times before I realized it. Apologies to every moviegoer who's had to put up with that kind of shit.

Multiple choices were a lot easier than I thought they'd be. Killed the DBQ (Indian cricket players, of all topics), pretty much bs'd the CCOT, and did pretty well on the compare/contrast essay.

Coraline was pretty freaking amazing. The story and dialogue were great, albeit not incredibly memorable, but visually it's definitely one of the most beautiful, well-animated films I've ever seen, and the soundtrack was simply magnificent.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. When you get a project assignment or homework from one of your teachers, fucking do it as soon as possible. If you don't, it will come back and bite you in the ass, I promise you. Procrastination's like masturbation. It may feel good at first, but you're ultimately just fucking yourself. I was given this advice but I didn't heed it, and my grade suffered terribly because of it.
