Everything seemed just dandy after the ACC rounded out to 12. I really do believe that that's the largest any conference should be to remain a conference -- even then, some football teams don't see each other every year and that takes something away from it. There's a really valuable bond between schools in this way (the ACC has a strong one in its core colleges especially) that I don't see being respected enough with these flying rumors darting around.
