Are there any thoughts on how much Ned knew about Lyanna's supposed love for Rheagar/avoidance of Robert? Because assuming she did kill herself solely to be free from Robert, I don't think Ned would have ever really forgiven him for it, even for the sake of keeping the peace. I like the childbirth idea better but i think you're right, the timing might not quite add up.

I don't really understand, nor am I fond of all these "secret Targ" theories...Do the three heads of the dragon have to be specifically Targaryens? Maybe I missed something but I sort of read it as the other two heads being Dany's closest allies, the two other people that will be integral to her attaining the throne. at one point I thought she even theorized that it could have something to do with having two husbands. That said, I always thought that Tyrion's affinity for dragons and his apparently Targ-like traits were just a way of foreshadowing that he would indeed become a Targaryen when he eventually joins and helps Dany.
