My response to Facebook friend that said he was glad KS pharmacists could now refuse to fill birth control prescriptions. by kmoneyixajin TwoXChromosomes

I'm glad someone said this. Just as it's acceptable to use birth control for reasons like controlling your cycle, it's acceptable to use birth control to have safe sex.

[Friendly Reminder] It never hurts to call and ask by b1ackcatin Frugal

[–]budgetchick 2 points3 points ago

Always a good idea. Most people are scared to ask, either because they're uncomfortable asking or because they don't want to take the time to do that.

Reminder: requesters are NOT allowed to ask you to go to another website and vote, register, or be registered. These are scams, and you probably won't get paid. by Turilin HITsWorthTurkingFor

Wasn't there one today that asked you to provide a review? Would that count? It seems fishy to ask someone to review something in exchange for money?

saw this on r/funny and it got me wondering what some of your birth stories/fears/wishes were. by [deleted]in TwoXChromosomes

How bad is the loose skin? I've always been thin and the thought of a permanent muffin top I can't get rid of is terrifying.

How often did you use it? Daily? What were your nails like before you started using it?

What's it like being a skinny person? by syncratio400in AskReddit

5"4, 110 lbs., female. My biggest pet peeve is when people assume I don't eat well. I eat somewhat healthy and I don't need people to tell me to eat more. It's like they're saying my low weight indicates that I can't take care of myself.

Generally it gets annoying when people point out my weight to me. I don't tell someone they're 300 lbs. to eat less so why tell me that I probably weigh less than 100 and should eat more? I haven't found a good response to that.

I also have Raynaud's, which I wouldn't notice as much if I weighed more.

Mostly though I am really glad i'm this size. I like fitting into clothes easily. I can eat almost anything I want.

Yeah this one is pretty good about that. I bought it at Sephora after a recommendation from the sales lady and I really like it so far.

Urban Decay Cannonball does not budge. I've cried through it and it's been fine. It's a little harder to remove so make sure you have a good makeup remover. And it gives enough volume/lift.

Ulta 20% off starts today.... Most prestige brands included!! by kimtallicain MakeupAddiction

Yeah when I tried to use it online for UD, Butter London or Murad, it didn't work. I think some brands will always be excluded from coupons.

Best high coverage foundations for pale skin tones? by SophieLouiseLin MakeupAddiction

Lancome teint ultra in 100 works great for me. I have super pale skin and an oily t-zone.

Lifestyle question: Am I being a little too frugal for my position? I don't feel like I'm ruining my youth, but other people beg to differ. $45K salary, taking home only $1,950/month ($12k/year into retirement) by frugal_dudein personalfinance

Do you have an emergency fund? Any other loans? I would make 10 percent payments to retirement fund until I have a 6-month emergency fund stocked. Do you have any other big events to plan for, i.e. wedding? I'm planning on socking away money for wedding/honeymoon after I get my emergency fund squared away. Think about any other things you want in a few others and try to find a way to save for those, put at least 10% in retirement and maybe some for a vacation fund.

I've traveled a lot to Europe/abroad (at least every year since I was 18 and several times before then). Those experiences have always been worth it. Last year I took a $2,000 trip to Europe even though I have $28,000 in loans now (it was partly funded by graduation presents, partly by my own savings). Even though that's a lot of money I could put toward the loans, I also don't want to be 30, debt-free but not having that experience. I pay $60 extra to my student loans, but still plan on going abroad (Birth Right Israel trip so only about $750 total).

You have to find your priorities. I am fairly frugal, but also plan to be debt-free in 7-8 years. I own my car and plan to pay cash for one when my current one dies. But I also want to travel and buy nice beer a couple times a month. I have money to drive 6 hours roundtrip every weekend to visit my boyfriend. So just find out what your priorities are (none of us can tell you) and save accordingly.

Also, once you start traveling, you'll want to travel more. I hope to be able to go to Europe every few years and am willing to sacrifice/work more to do that.

Paid internship tax concerns by Alomerain tax

[–]budgetchick 1 point2 points ago

Not sure exactly how that works. I know my internship had a freelancer who had his own desk in the office. Either way, if you got paid more than $600, they should send you a 1099 (that could be wrong) or something to fill out as a freelancer. That's what I've had to do for jobs.

Foundation for MEGA PALE skin? by SunshineandShowersin MakeupAddiction

[–]budgetchick 0 points1 point ago

I'm super pale with dark brown hair. I like Lancome teint idole ultra 24h in 100 (the lowest shade possible). It gives moderate coverage. Bobbi Brown has pretty good shades for my skin, as well as Nars (Finland in TM, not sure what in foundation).

Sounds like they might have paid you as a freelancer.
