Awesome customer service from Intuit (Quicken), wanted to share my story/goals

So I've decided to take a long, hard look at my finances and try to get my ship in order. To that end, I decided I'd check out quicken 2012 since it can log into all my accounts and tell me how broke I am. I'm not really broke, but I have a ton of student debt and credit cards that I'm trying to get rid of. Good news is that I have a very good job that's secure (for now).

Anyway, if you go to quicken.com, you'll find their products on the page. I clicked into the "shop here" button and found the deluxe version for $10 off. This of course made me happy and I added it to my cart. Sure, call me impulsive, but I've seen their product before and I really like it.

So I go back around and check some other products, accidentally adding another deluxe version to my cart. At this point my cart reads $120, or $60 for each copy. Ah! Cookies! Traps! Noooooo! were my thoughts. "Quickly!," I thought, "I must rectify this situation by asking customer service for a coupon code to get that $10 back!"

So I go to their contact page and enter a chat with some rep named Ardun and explain that their website changed the price to something outside my impulse buy range and requested a $10 coupon code. Ardun (I don't know if that was really his/her name) instead comes back 1 minute later and gives me a link to a page for $20 off AND their 2012 Will making program at no extra charge.

So instead of no sale, they got my $40, I received a good customer service experience and I get to take a long hard look at the fact that I spend $135/mo on Quick Chek... Anyway, I'm off to the gym that I pay far too much money for... /facepalm

I called over to my girlfriend and I go, "Hey look, someone who paints their nails as sloppy as you do!" She didn't appreciate the fact that I'm so observant, that I notice the paint all over her cuticles :(

You can use the sticky tape on the bottom of the Wii sensor bar to glue it on top of the Kinect. It doesn't affect the Kinect at all and your Kinect can feel all proud (in a tf2 kinda way) because it has a hat.

Upgrade incoming for this subreddit

Hey /r/drexel, I just wanted to let you guys know I'm going to be upgrading our little subreddit and I'm going to try to push it towards the front of the university subreddits. Drexel is so technology reliant and involved that it's a shame it doesn't have a greater reddit presence. To that end, I'm going to be upgrading our CSS sheets, throwing some nice looking rules together, and linking us to some of the other subreddits using cross promotion such as /r/philly and competitions such as grow a college subreddit. I will be reaching out to the alum assoc as part of this upgrade. Our other two mods are students.

If you're like me and disable all custom reddits, you won't notice a change, but for those of you who like pretty subreddits, what would you guys like to see?

I just hate to penalize people for things they didn't know they can't do. We're all spam machines of someone, vested with certain interests, posting our own blog material and such forth, but isn't that what reddits about? Seriously though, I do not take issue with your moderating at all, you're on top of your game and whoever hired you deserves a raise. Perhaps I just like Martha Stewart and Punk'd. Expect to see more of these comments in the future though, sometimes when the mods stand together, it sends a positive image.
