Whetstones are very much a BIFL item. I worked quarrying Arkansas whetstones when I was younger, and fifteen years later they are in as great of shape as the day I processed them. The key is to keep the stone well oiled, it's not to protect the blade but to protect the stone itself from filling up with metal particles. I would go with buying from Norton company or Smith's abrasives, they are the best quality.

My problem is, she blames me for the divorce, with her mom, which she is correct. I have tried many times to talk to her and tell her I am sorry for her pain, but she refuses to speak to me. If I write her a letter, which I have done several times, she will throw it away unopened. I would give anything for just a chance to tell her that I love her and she means the world to me.

I got married too young, 21, and to a woman I really did date nearly long enough. My best advice is, wait till you are at least 25, or better 27, before you think about getting married, and date them for a t least a year and a half. Just my .02.
