It was seriously mouth puckering. And I'm totally with you on the sours. The only thing is that I can't drink much more than or two in a sitting or I start to get heartburn. Definitely a beer to have with a meal.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the Brimstone. I was on the fence at first since all I can taste was smoke, but once I took my time and worked past it, I truly enjoyed this whisky. I think it has much more depth than what you experienced. Smoky, sweet, herbal. All good fun in a glass. You can't like them all, but at least you can't say that you didn't keep an open mind. Hell, you even gave it a second chance! I respect your efforts.

As far as your other choices, I can't argue with any of them. All are excellent! The only one I haven't had is Black Bottle. Also need to revisit the Triple Wood.

I feel the same way. I wouldn't infuse a crazy crafted beer, but I could see doctoring up a pilsner or lager just for fun.

It's a great place to eat and drink. And the draught selection is superb and always changing. I get to go every couple weeks.
