Donate to Calguns. That's what I'm doing. Just ordered another "bullet button" for my current build. They will have to pry this one from my cold dead...you know the story.

You're right, since we are down to semantics, if you ask me what race I am, I am part of the human race. You are obviously from the species of bacteria that lives under a nutsack.

Oh my gosh, thanks for the news flash I had no idea! Now I can go and be American and do American things, yay! How in the fuck do you know what my heritage is, how I grew up culturally? I am a Mexican American, and I always consider myself an American. But when people ask me what my race or heritage is, I say Mexican. So go sit down, relax and come up with better comments than resorting to name calling "fuckface".

Uh, well, being a Mexican, born and raised in California, I can't recall anyone ever complaining about the number of my kind here in my homeland.

My brother died today, at 28 years old. I've never had to deal with the loss of a family member before, do you have any pieces of advice you could offer? by Jinjitin AskReddit

[–]beerneed 0 points1 point ago

I recently lost a brother too. My little brother, the troublemaker. He finally got his shit together, had a good thing going, has a 2-year old son, and then he runs into some d-bags that get him back into trouble. He OD'd on H. It has been 5 months now, and I still have our summer BBQ plans in my mind. I was really looking forward to having him and his son over for good times. It hurts bad. We had him cremated and my aunt had some of his ashes placed in tiny vials that can be used as jewelry. I wear my vial around my neck every day. I don't know why but I just feel compelled to do it. I guess it helps by giving me the solace in knowing that while he is no longer on this earth suffering it's worst, he is living in our memories as the funny, loving, handsome, bright young man he was when I last saw him. I don't seem to mourn anymore when I put it on every morning. I just remember that he lived and was ours to love. I see it more as a kinship to what I hold most dear. Remember him as you remember him, in your heart and soul. Know that as long as you hold his memories dear in your heart, your heart will know peace.

[–]beerneed 5 points6 points ago

We put those M-16 stocks through the paces, (Marine Corps specs went into the A2 stock design to make it stronger). I shit you not, for a "plastic" weapon, they held up to Marine Corps training pretty well. We did not hold back at all on the use of those butt stocks, just as our forefathers did with wooden rifles. We used them for drill and ceremonies, bayonet training, we were even taught to dive butt stock first when diving into the prone position from a full run. I never saw a single one break.

[–]beerneed 3 points4 points ago

You can't butt the enemy's head in like you could with a good old solid rifle stock. If I'm down to no more ammo, bayonet affixed and repelling the enemy's assault with close combat, what would I rather have, my M-16 A2 or a bullpup? Actually, when I was in the service, I always doubted the effectiveness of using an M-16 for this purpose, an M1 Garand or M-14 seemed much more apropos. But when we put the M-16's through the paces of bayonet combat training, I was convinced enough. Never had the pleasure of training with an M-4 while in the service, but I suspect it was pretty flimsy in comparison with the collapsible stock.

Gun buyback gets dangerous ROCKET LAUNCHER off the streets...inert and marked training by runningeaglein guns

[–]beerneed 14 points15 points ago

If it is a true trainer, like the ones we trained with, it has a 9mm barrel installed within the tube for live firing the unit with a 9mm tracer round...mostly for target sighting and familiarization. It was a disappointment not being able fire the real thing, but they tend to be expensive...

This dude demonstrates one.

Can anyone identify this foregrip? (St. Petersburg Open Championship pic) by bs04271995in guns

It looks like one of these. I ended up purchasing one of these to try out as a CQB attachment for my AR. The wing nut on the CAA version it sticks out too far and interferes with my grip. Review here.
