WTF? These certificates are usually printed out from the IACRA website, then just signed by your check airman, then you.

I've NEVER seen these all handwritten, and I have my ATP and CFI....

Haha, I was an instructor. I was in your position. The issue is up here, it's full of scumbags who look after themselves. There needs to be a national seniority list, starting YESTERDAY, and there needs to be a pilot shortage of EPIC proportions for airline management to start treating us how we should be treated. Until then, I'm sure many of your peers are ready to go pay $15,000 to fly right seat of a turboprop....

ALPA, is the biggest joke of this industry. ALPA only protects the top 10% of the pilot group at the majors. If they want to gain any traction in doing anything to help this industry, they would push forward the national seniority list.

I'm 8 years into this industry now, and I know what we're all getting into. This is what you'll get into every time you get excited to "advance your career". I wish I had "Debbie Fucking Downer" preaching in my ear instead of "Shiny Jet Syndrome"....

The truth hurts, and this is the ONLY industry where experience doesn't matter. That's why I'm 30, and I'm a new hire at a major and making as much as a 49 year old guy who has 4 times more flight experience than I do.....

I used to think checkouts in small planes were stupid, but it's always nice going up with someone who is familiar with the FBO and the small little airport you're going in and out of. When I got my PPL, I never saw the point of checking out into another Cessna just because it was somewhere else. Now, I'm glad to.

I haven't flown GA in over 7 years, and only have 4800 hours, mostly in RJ's and A320's, but I'd love to go get checked out again.
