Reddit, really need your opinion on this. What would you do in this situation? by ankshin AskReddit

Agree completely. That's what I figured in the end. Either way, the $5 wouldn't change my lifestyle or his. I've always said "No" to people begging for money in the past, but I'm still not sure if it was his story or the overall situation that made me give up the money.

He had his daughter there, so I'm guessing he brought her there for swimming lessons or something. If you look close enough at the picture, you'll see his daughter hiding right behind him :)

That's really all there is. You do form N400. They call you for finger printing (yes, another one!), and then you finally get called for the interview. Pretty straight forward.

Thanks and Newark wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Though the wait-time was sometimes excruciating, but it was all worth it in the end :)

That's funny and quite in-line with how the final interviews are done. However, you're only supposed to get 6 correct answers out of 10 and once you do, they're not supposed to ask you any further questions. In the video, Craig was asked 10 even after he answered the first 6 correctly.

Also, the interviewer is supposed to write the answers you give on that same paper along with either a check or cross depending on how you answer. In the end, they make you sign the bottom of the paper to confirm your answers. In the video, the interviewer kept going with the questions.

I'm sure it was done to make the video look more interesting :)

Funny you should say that. For the last interview with the USCIS officer, it's a requirement to learn a set of 100 question/answers pre-decided by the USCIS. While a lot of them are basic questions (mostly around US history and civics), I did wonder if every American knew all the answers.

Get the "this img is no longer available" message from imgur. Anyone care to provide a working link?

Remember the Redditor who was going to "sword fight" his way to marrying his [now ex] girlfriend? Well, this is what would've happened had he won. (From a Sikh wedding I attended this past weekend). by ankshin pics

If it isn't obvious from the picture, it's a white fella marrying a sikh girl in a sikh religious ceremony.

And yes, he's holding a sword.

I'm sure we all have our stories of such epic failure development solicitations. My best was when I was once contacted by "a friend of a friend" to build a Facebook clone for under $500. I'll let you guess what my response was to them :)
