I was 22 when I realized that the The Count from Sesame Street was named as such because he actually counted. What is something that you didn't "get" until way, way later? by NspktrSpacetimein AskReddit

I didn't get it until I actually looked up the lyrics because they don't make any sense. When I searched them a bunch of articles came up about the controversy. I had no idea.

That's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. I am absolutely going to do this to my kids.

Ha, oh thank god. I thought I was the only one! Every other person I have told that to has looked at me like I'm an idiot.

I don't hate them, nor do I hate women who are obese. I don't support them a healthy role models, and I don't think people should aspire to look like them.

I completely agree. I understand we shouldn't cut people down for their body types, but we definitely should not be celebrating their obesity either.

Some of the women photographed are only slightly above average, and could be considered just bigger women (different bodies look different), but many of these women could be classified as obese. That is unhealthy, dangerous and shouldnt be encouraged. I'm all about loving your body, but in my mind, loving your body means taking care of it.

Dallas Green = City & Colour.. I only noticed when pointed out by Ed The Sock on Much Music.

Also, in Vancouver, where the Canucks play used to be called "GM Place." it was colloquially referred to as "The Garage". I have lived here my whole life and was about 20 when I realized the connection. A GMs place is in the garage!

I saw this in cosmo. Although most of their stuff makes me pretty angry, this just made me sad. :( by ChrisIsKinkyin TwoXChromosomes

What I find funny about this is, if you gave up Facebook, booze and an few hours a day (not even a whole year) it would be possible for most women to have a body that looked that good.

To the guys: when you wolf-whistle at ladies, do you think you're paying them a compliment they should appreciate? by 5minuteconsultin AskReddit

But seriously, maybe she was just going over there to ream him out for shouting at her?? I hope so.

I love your sleeve! I'm thinking about starting one soon. I love seeing other ladies showing off their ink.

Also, you two are adorable. I hope you have a wonderful wedding and great life. =)

I let my 76y.o. grandfather push the buggy in stores bc he ises it like a walker. People sometimes stare at me with a look of disgust. What act of courtesy/kindness do you do that people don't understand and misjudge you for? by chairman_of_theboredin AskReddit

This reminds me of the scene in Friends With Benefits when JT takes his pants off and sits down in the restaurant with his senile dad. I know it's a comedy, but that scene is so touching it always brings me to tears.

Reddit, what are your best (or worst) moments of coitus interruptus? [nsfw] by WHARRGARBLLLin AskReddit

Drunk friends bust into the room asking if we want McDonald's.. And then didn't even bring it for us!

Another time: Friend was looking for me, and my best friend told her to go check one of the bedrooms (knowing FULL WELL what I was doing). Cue my friend walking in on me getting it from behind. She ran away, we finished, dressed, and sat her down in the living room to discuss what happened like parents (we are 4 and 6 years older than her, respectively).

I'd argue it has a success rate of zero.. No girl is gonna chase down a car to give her number to the guy who cat called her.. I see what you are saying though..

Also - those kind of girls give all women a bad name. Shit like that drives me up the wall. You want a drink? Buy it yourself! If you don't have the money, WHY ARE YOU AT THE BAR?!

Haha, that was my argument too! I was walking between two of my company offices (only 2 blocks apart), and this guy drove by cat calling me. Did he expect me to fling off my heels and dash down the road to thank him?

Have any of you killed anyone, intentionally or unintentionally? by ssjbasedgodin AskReddit

I should clarify, what I meant is I think there is a big difference between your parents helping you get out of a bad situation that was an accident (yes, he was at fault, but it was not intentional) and your parents helping you out of a bad situation that was intentional (like if he had robbed a convenience store or committed assault).

It's not like his parents were bailing him out of a problem he caused for himself. Accidents happen, and just because they do it doesn't mean it should decide someones whole life.

There was a secret on PostSecret last week that was similar. I can't remember the exact wording, but someone hunted down the person that molested them as a child, and murdered them.
