This looks like it was taken with a wide angle lens up close and angled down to include the feet. This type of angle tends to exaggerate the head and minimize the feet. Take a look at the next picture. She looks like shes in big head mode too. Its just an artifact of the lens.

My MBP is doing this. Im pretty sure mine is a battery issue. Does yours turn off at around the same percentage every time? Mine dies abruptly at about 25%. Maybe one of the cells is not functioning correctly anymore.

Do you think cpu power has an effect on how fast your adobe apps open? I just bought the same hdd and installed it in a late 2008 MBP 2.53 Core 2 Duo with 4gb of ram. I just tried opening photoshop cs5 and it definitely took about twice as long to open. (still only about 4 seconds). What do you think?

Something is strange about your experience. I just tried opening a 557MB file (granted thats mostly one large picture in there) and it took about 7 seconds to open on my late 2008 MBP, 2.53GHz Core Two Duo w/ 4GB DDR3 Ram running PS CS5. I was able to quickly option-click a text layer so everything else was invisible and shuffle the text around without any hang ups.

If you want to dropbox me the file (send pm with link), then i can try and reproduce what you're saying in CS5.

As for file nesting, I do it all the time. I group related elements in groups, and try to condense everything until my layers view is only folders. I use this technique when designing webpages, so each page is a folder. Ive never had a problem doing it this way.

This same type of lens can be found in sports sunglasses. Its just a color filter that emphasizes a certain color spectrum. Check Bolle's lens simulator to see an illustration of the effect.
