each of those atoms needs a position value (x,y,z) and must be updated so the game knows where to draw stuff.....yes you can group together thousands of atoms ( a box model, etc) to move the same thus not having to do the math for that, but you still have to change the number values (x,y,z) for each of those 100,000 atoms which still takes a lot of computer cycles

see these guys seam to be able to make unlimited polygons (atoms) while the objects (trees, Elephant) stay in the same place, and get a great frame rate. But how will the processor do when it has to do the math for millions of millions of atoms, at 30 times a second (30fps), moving via the physics engine (shooting, bodys falling, crumbling of a building)?......Anyone with an answer?
