Thickheaded Thursday: Don't be ashamed! Get the answers to the questions you're too embarrassed to ask! by epicphotonin guns

I don't know for certain, but I seriously doubt guns are "registered" in the state of Nevada.

It's easy to find a holster for a Glock 17 with a laser, but not as common with a light. The problem is there are many different lights that will fit and they are all a different size. You're probably looking at either ordering a custom holster or need to select from a very limited assortment.

The holster is going to be much too big for the gun if the light is not attached. It probably will not hold very well.

Check out Freddie Wong's videos on YouTube. He does some amazing things, often on almost no budget whatsoever.

I can't stand the Geico insurance taste test commercials, they are down right dumb and prove absolutely nothing about the product. Reddit, what are your last favorite add campaigns? by AIDSLORINHin AskReddit

[–]Zoshchenko 0 points1 point ago

Most advertisers today have given up on trying to create commercials that are the least bit informative and simply go for shock value. Most of them fail miserably. There are far too many to remember them all, because they are totally forgettable. What amazes me is that someone actually came up with these ideas, presented them to the client, and a roomful of otherwise intelligent people said yes.

For example, the woman who comes on the PA system on an airplane asking who is irregular. She walks down the aisle tossing some product - I don't know what - to those willing to admit they have a problem. Seriously? Somebody approved this?

I'm also currently hating the skydiving fashion shoot commercial for some type of phone. It's over-produced and expensive with almost none of the costs appearing on the screen. Somebody got ripped off big time.

I actually think Geico does a really good job of advertising and their sales have borne this out. The taste test spots work because they make a ludicrous point without trying to pretend to be anything but that. They are memorable because they are silly and absurd. Sometimes that's OK.

Ken Bennett should just sit down and shut up now. But he won't. He'll further embarrass himself and the state with some ludicrous demand for further proof. He's an absolute moron and a coward.

I disagree with your assumption, but like the idea. My daughter is an excellent shot and owns both a Sig 9mm and Ruger .357.

I've been using Audacity for years. It's great. I can't imagine there is anything out there at any price that works as well and is as versatile as this program.

Ideas Emerge by Rox26in guns

Almost from day one there has been debate on exactly what the Founding Fathers meant with the language in the 2nd Amendment. There are plenty of legislators who would like to see an outright ban on all private ownership of firearms no matter what type. So there's a constant battle between those who want to ban guns and those who feel they have every right to own them. The fact that states - and even individual localities - enact their own laws and enforce their own interpretation of the Constitution just makes the situation all that more muddled.

The ongoing debate over silencers/suppressors, short-barreled rifles, full auto weapons, etc. isn't going to be resolved any time soon.

I know the last thing you need at the 11th hour is someone coming in and questioning your strategy, but is "money" really the issue here?

It seems to me taste should be the most important thing. And it's "value" that is the key to success more than the money. People want a great-tasting meal at a decent price.

They have a weak catch phrase if you really analyze it. There's something in the oven? It could be a dead cat. And in the oven at Tuscany Oven is just horrible word flow - just like you not wanting to use meal twice.

OK, ok none of this is probably very helpful. I'd see if they'd be willing to go with a phrase like:

We're already baking your next delicious meal - at Tuscany Oven.

or

We're always ready to make your next delicious meal - at Tuscany Oven.
