How Did Wisconsin Become the Most Politically Divisive Place in America? by Ze_Cariocain politics

They are the same thing.

That is the impression I got from most cali people in Austin. Most could not afford to live in California, and wanted somewhere where they could live semi-comfortably on service jobs. A lot of them never shot up about how great Cali was, but for whatever reason they were in Austin.

Austin is now known as California II

Dont go to one unless you live somewhere where you can always be around them. When I moved out of Austin TX I could no longer go, and it made every other theater suck 10000000x more.

You also write your order on a piece of paper and they take it without talking. You dont notice until you have a big beer and cheezeburger in front of you.

Best theaters ever.

Wow, you must be the one person who left tx for Cali, usually it is the opposite.

Except I use actual evidence and then you become like a religious guy by refusing to change your belief despite all the evidence against it, but instead of a God you believe in your own self-reightoutness.

EDIT Also more of the same on your part, which is nothing. yawn

Ray, still nothing?

I realize you are butthurt, but you led yourself into this trap. Next time understand what you are talking about before arguing, and maybe you wont make a fool of yourself.

Im not taking you seriously anymore. I beat you. I am gloating now. I have no interest in your opinion or idiotic logic. Unlike you I can back up what I say. Get it fool? Let me guess you will reply with still nothing but personal attacks and nothing.

Everything you said irrelevant. More assumptions, that have been corrected, more hypocrisy on your part especially in regard to China, and you continue to ignore everything I have said and the data.

Your opinion is irrelevant. You can be mad, but that wont change anything. Notice how you replied with everything except data. You know why? You dont have any. I proved my point and I am content. Either get some evidence to support your assumptions or STFU & GTFO.

Ray it has been fun.

U mad bro?

Checkmate for me? Did you not notice the rest of my post describing why none of that discussion actually matters, because colloquial terms?

It has to do with your assumption. Also, I almost forgot how this discussion came to occur, but it was because you replying to a specific comment regarding native population and the white population within the US, before I made an edit to correct something I missed. As soon as you realized I was right even with the 18 million you changed tactics. So yes chechmate. I have shown, with actual evidence and not just opinion how I am both right in the term America in english and in regard to the population of natives and whites with US borders. At this point you have nothing but name calling.

If you studied geology you would know that there is no geological reason for the continents., and that the categorical separation of continents is purely by arbitrary historical convention. In fact, care to give any actual, non-arbitrary historical reason why Europe and Asia are considered different continents?

It is an arbitrary convention, but one that is used.

Oh so when an American goes and mentions America, people need special cultural and linguistic traits to infer what they're talking about? What idiocy.

In english yes. Also I have source that proved. You can be pissed about it, but I am not the one who created this situation. Just stating the facts. I actually agree with you that it isnt right, but that doesnt change the fact thats how it is.

I see you, in your idiocy, has completely ignored everything I discussed on how the standard understanding of "American" doesn't matter, because, guess what, jokes can refer to multiple meanings. Like I said, ever heard "a guy runs into a bar" joke? Understand how the colloquial definition of a bar isn't used?

Actually your idiocy has completetly ignored everything I discussed and how "America" is used in english. Maybe in Hebrew or Polish I would be wrong. However, the comic was in English. Has shown to you America refers to the United States unless stated. This is not open to debate anymore. I have proved this is the case, in english, and you may not like it or you may find it stupid, but I am still right here. So your whole assumption was wrong. Your whole argument was wrong. You stated earlier that America clearly referred to all of the Americas, but I have shown per the english language it is not. So unless you can show where in the comic it is clearly stated than we are done.

By the way, I see you have completely given up the assertion that everywhere around the world people use America to refer to the US, resorting to only personal experience with Europeans. so nice to see such an easy debunking.

In english they overwhelmingly do. I am not arguing about other languages. Also you did the exact same thing with China and Israel. you stated, "oh I went to China and nobody used America," which I called you out on based off my own experiences. So not only are you an idiot, and lost this argument, but you are also a hypocrite.

At this point you can keep arguing but it is over for you. I proved everything I have stated in regard to the cartoon, while debunking everything you have said. Unlike you I used actual evidence with citations instead of assumptions based on opinions.

Game over for you.

Tell that to the Spanish, who refer to the entire landmass as America. In Israel, they refer it as a whole landmass. In China, Mei-Zhou refers to the entire landmass. You have no idea how the rest of the world thinks.

Do you know what a continent is? North and South America are two separate continents just like Asia, Europe, and Africa are 3 separate ones. I may not know ignorant views of certain countries but I do know some geology, although you clearly dont.

Guess what the Chinese call the American continents? Hint: different from what they call America the country. And of course, the Brazillians use americano to refer to the American continental landmass, and use estadunidense to refer to Americans. Same with the Spanish. The French has Amerique and Americain to differentiate. Russia also uses America to refer to the landmass. Almost everybody differentiates between the continental name and the nickname for the US.

If you say I am from America in Europe generally they will assume the United STates. Yes formally it is different ones, but when actually spoken and used by most people it is America=US.

Furthermore, "In modern English, "American" generally refers to the United States, and among native speakers of English this usage is almost universal, with any other use of the term requiring specification of the subject under discussion.") That comic was in English was it not? Was it specified that America didnt mean the US? This pretty much settles the conversation, and is checkmate for you.

Make me look stupid? What idiocy. You're the one who kept missing the point. You keep arguing that somehow since America is used colloquially to refer to the American state, thinking that this is relevant. IT IS NOT RELEVANT. Pure and simple, y

Actually you keep missing the point. It is not just by America, but the world. Maybe in Hebrew it is different but in English, and I have shown evidence proving it, America pretty much always means the US unless stated. Also other countries refer to the US as America in their own language, like Brazil. If you say America or AMericano people think, US. Again perhaps in Hebrew it is different, but this discussion revolves around English. You made an assumption, based off no evidence, and somehow think it is relevant. IT IS NOT relevant. Pure and simple. It is just an assumption you made.

Pure and simple, you are an absolute idiot because you have not realized that what is the most commonly and colloquially use for a term HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS TOPIC AT ALL.

Pure and simple, you are an idiot because you dont know what a continent is, how the term "america" is used, the context of the cartoon, and when presented with facts stick to your own assumptions. Your assumptions HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS TOPIC AT ALL.

Let me give you an example: Three guys run into a bar, the fourth one ducks. Are you going to go on an argue that this joke is wrong, because no one ducks from a pub? The entire point of the joke is using a meaning that is not the most commonly used one.

Let me give you an example: Three guys run into a bar, the fourth one ducks. Are you going to go on an argue that this joke is wrong, because no one ducks from a pub? The entire point of the joke is using a meaning that is not the most commonly used one.

bad example because Bar and pub are used interchangeably just like America and US in english. You are actually strengthening my argument here. You also proved my point you dont understand the joke. It is not about the term, "america," but rather the demographic situation. However, the author missed the mark as I explained in an earlier post.

The laughable thing about your idiocy is that you refuse to recognize how absolutely idiotic your interpretation is. You keep on arguing about commonly used meanings as if it mattered, when IT DOESN'T MATTER. The fact that you can't even comprehend this demonstrates how idiotic your assertion is, and demonstrates the mentality of an 8 year old... which is also shown by everybody else's downvoting of you.

The laughable think about YOUR idiocy is you refuse to admit you are wrong, and how idiotic your interpretation is, despite all the overwhelming evidence against it. You keep on going on about how your assumption of the joke is right, as if it matter when IT DOESNT matter. The fact that you can even comprehend this demonstrates how idiotic your assumption is and demonstrates the mentality of a 6 year old.

Also you made another assumption. You have no clue why I am being downvoted. My guess is because I went against the hivemind by breaking up a circlejerk. The fact that 6 people dont like what I said doesnt prove anything.

Left is guilty too. Venezuela is pretty big on it right now. Somewhere like NK I dont even know if it is left or right. China regularly whips up nationalist feelings. The US does it, Iran does it, hell even Europe is starting to do it again. The more libertarian/progressive/liberal the government the less likely they are to do this. The more controlling they are the more likely. People are very easy to manipulate and control through fear and hate.

That is typical of most authoritarian governments. You always need an enemy to keep people under your control and distracted from real issues. This is not even an original fascist tactic, as it is as old as civilization.

I dont think fascism necessarily means war.

Like I said, it was an authoritarian conservative socialist movement. In Italy's case they didnt want to have a world war, but did want to take over Ethiopia. This was more of colonialism, which Italy missed because it was fragmented city states during the time everyone was colonizing everyone else.

If Hitler and the Nazis never came to power I dont think Fascist would be the word to describe right wind authoritarian movements.
