Ah but it would be sexist for a predominantly female subject to be cooking!

The tech is there, in that they make you do the same design and development coursework as all the other tech subjects, it's just that it's entirely shoehorned in. (All tech subjects have the same specification and mark scheme, it's just the choice of materials and the exam that differs)

It doesn't really make much sense to offer food tech at all, it's not a practical subject (doesn't teach how to cook) and it's not a technology because really how many people in the country actually design food products?

That one's actually a result of woodwork/metalwork being rolled together (the "resistant" materials, because they're hard) to make room for electronics, graphic design and food tech (which is another pretty stupid name)

The new content may be improving but the direction updates are taking towards everything being "elite" means that the attitude of most players makes the game a hell of a lot less fun for those of us who remember the older versions of the game fondly.
