PROTIP: (Copied and pasted my comment that I made on a different post) To watch MLG in HD you'll need to login, click "MLG League Membership" on the top right. Scroll down to till you see the "MLG League Member Benefits" then copy the code. Once you've done that go back to your stream and choose a quality setting higher than "Mid" and then paste your code into the bar

Hope this helps to the guys who have a silver/gold membership :D

I still go to my local one here in the north east of the UK, I think the business there is steady. When I go there to visit I still see regulars and visitors spending a fair amount of time there. If you're curious here's the website: cybergameszone.co.uk

I used to go there frequently as my computer sucks balls, but now I'm saving up for a new one which is why I'm not going there frequently.

The reason why I still go is that they do all nighters every Friday. From your choosing of 6pm to 10am/10pm to 10am. It's so awesome going to these events because it's not only about the gaming all night long aspect, but the social one too. I still plan to go to these all nighters even after I build my gaming pc.

From my perspective, the best way to bring in customers is to:

  • Host all nighters every Friday
  • Make friends with regulars and create a community around it.
  • Create a clan and invite the regulars into it and then compete in local tournys against other cybercafes around your area. (Did this once, it was amazing)

  • Host tournaments regularly. (E.g. Every 2 weeks and or a mini tournament during the all nighter)

  • Obviously provide food and drink (One great idea that the staff do is that they served pot noodles, which kept the customers inside instead of them going out for lunch.) Also the staff let customers bring in food and drink from other places they don't mind at all, which I think is awesome, but I still buy my drinks there as I still want to the place to run in the future.

Hope this advice is helpful :D Please contact me if you want any further advice or you if actually go with this idea :)
