Was rewatching Doctor Who "Aliens of Londen" and guess who I saw. by Vordrellerin Torchwood

I'm not tricking anyone. Reddit has a bad system in that it does not allow a text comment to go along with a link. Either you link the image or you post some texts in which the images is linked. Why not put the 2 together I wonder.

Toshiko Sato. Even has the same name here, Dr. Sato. And that's the 9th Doctor standing left of her. Same actress, checked the credits.

I'm just easily excitable. So, this takes place before the battle of Canary Warf, but Jack is already in Cardiff leading Torchwood 3. Kinda odd they'd send her on a solo mission, posing as a Doctor when she's a mathematician.

Once your fight for equality starts using generalizations, you no longer fight for equality, but for dominance.

When something like that happens, find a steep hill to run up. Zombies suck at steep hills. It's the only way to lose them.

I played it in the past. It's decent, but with every next stage, the levels get longer and longer. To the point where the last level you have sections where enemies respawn for 10 minutes straight. And I mean actual minutes, like on the clock. Not like I'm bored and saying "oh man, this lasted so damn long".

Still, if you're up for it, it's a nice shooter.

Includes BFE and the "Legend of the beast" DLC for Second encounter.

I bought it for that and also didn't own Serious Sam 2 yet. Had all the others and now they're gifts in my inventory.

Resource monitor is awesome. I mostly use it for the Network tab. Nice to see exactly which program is using all that bandwidth.

For me, a good story-based game reminds you often of what the story is. And of what you're doing.

For instance, the Mass Effect series. You're presented with a goal and every mission you do is somehow important to that goal. And if not important to you, you can always find something that can help your teammates. ME2 really pushed the idea of your teammates being your friends. I really dislike games that give you teammates/sidekicks but are convinced that you can't be friends with them because it wouldn't be professional. Mass Effect proved to me that you can go to battle with your friends and be professional at the same time.

Half-Life 2 is a good story-driven game to me. While the first episode was a bit more focused on gameplay mechanics, the main game and episode 2 pushed the story quite well and reminded you constantly what the threat was and what you're fighting to achieve.

I don't like games that pretend to have a story but just mention it once at the beginning and then send you off to fulfill generic quests.

Gaming is important to me, because of the stories. Stories inspire me. Good stories. So do books and some movies, but mostly games.

I love games with a good story and the ability to build your own story inside them. It started with Mass Effect. Actually, it started with NOLF2: A spy in H.A.R.M.'s way. Funny, wacky shooter where you're a female spy in the sixties/seventies. Hilarious story, nice characters and a lot of detail for the time.

Mass Effect is the first game that gave me a more open world where my decisions influenced the game. Then came ME2 and it was great. Then came ME3 and well... we all know what happened there.

My favorite to this day is The Witcher series. Story-wise, it is unparalleled. To me. Personal opinion.

These stories present me with points of view, admirable ideas, and questions to ask myself about my own life. That is why I like gaming. With the games I like.

Just finished episodes 1-7 of the first season. So, is Torchwood just a show about sex that sometimes has some aliens in it? by space-ninjain Torchwood

There's not that much sex in there. There's way more people and their lives, their emotions and their choices.

Women of Reddit, I always get an erection when I hug/interact with my girlfriend. We've been dating for almost two years. Does it get old? by [deleted]in AskReddit

[–]Vordreller 0 points1 point ago

Looks like your girlfriend has issues. And I'm not saying that cuz she's not loving the penis. I'm saying that of her very hostile reaction.

Has this been going on for long? Has she ever tried talking to you about it? Telling you why she believes it to be a bad/perverted thing?

Perhaps you should have that talk. And "it just is", isn't a serious response to the question why she thinks its perverted.
