This would definitely make sense!

Though he did specify "at level 90," which to me implies that you can't do them until then.

If you want to get technical the BC login screen was a portal to the old world ;)

By the time a law like this would be considered, car manufacturers will already have done that for you. Since the concept of a driver would no longer exist, their focus will turn on making the experience as comfortable as possible for all passengers. You won't have all the seats facing forward, they'll be turned inward.

The experience will be much closer to being chauffeured in a limo than any cars we have today.

If I remember correctly, the main thing he's looking to take from them is how they go about electronica rather than the more "poppy" sounds. I think Utopia (one of my favorites, the first one I listened to =D) was mentioned specifically, but it's been a while.

Funny you say that, one of my friends responded the same way. Here's what I wrote to him:

"By then we'll all be senile (if it happens so soon, maybe dead) anyways so they'll just say grandpa had another episode and take you back to the nursing home as you lecture them about the days when you actually had to DRIVE a car!"

Funny you say that, because I posted the exact same sentence on my Facebook page a few weeks back and got nothing in response but negativity haha (from it being nothing more than some silly conspiracy theory to it being the end of our freedoms). I ended up having to break down how exactly it'll happen over time. I think self driving cars are a terribly exciting thing, and to think, it'll happen in our lifetime!

Exactly. Another parallel are guns and firing ranges; they used to be an every-day necessity, but have since been made a hobby.

For comparison, minimum wage in Ohio (the state I live in) is $7.70 an hour. 0 sick days. 0 paid holiday/vacation days. No such thing as a "penalty rate" (except working over 40 hours a week, and that's only if you're an hourly employee rather than salaried).

Oh man, I can't wait to hear the soundtrack for The Dark Knight Rises. It'll be really interesting to try and pick out the Goldfrapp influences in the music, since they're one of his biggest inspirations for this movie (and I happen to love them).

Isn't the minimum wage there considerably higher than here in the US? I imagine that'd reflect on other positions as well (though it's a guess, for sure).

Honest question: in what ways? If you're going to make statements like that be ready to back them up with some hard facts :)

With big budget flops like John Carter and the recent Battleship, what movies would you have like to seen done with a budget around $200 million. by bubba10381in movies

[–]Vartib 0 points1 point ago

Also, I'd give $200 mil to Valve for a Half-Life film without even a moment's hesitation.

Really? Movies that are never released tend to have low ROI.
