RIT has a huge boardgame club (300+ members, I think) known as RWAG (Rochester Wargamers Association and Guild). Maybe you should get in contact with someone there, or try to spread your word around the /r/RIT subreddit or other various campus game clubs. Also, if you are going to try to attract attention from RIT/UofR etc, you need to differentiate yourselves from Millennium since you're a bit more of a jump away. Hope to visit soon!

Categorizing a game as casual doesn't even confirm if the game is actually casual!

You need to stop thinking of "casual" as some sort of identifying flag and instead think to yourself, "Does this game facilitate casual play?" Maybe that will clear things up a bit.
