Yeah from the reviews I've seen, this was one of the things they fixed from the g9 to the g9x

Wow. This looks absolutely incredible. Definitely the front runner.

My fingers are long, but certainly not fat. I'll check it out.

Bought the Merkur on the left from JazzleSAURUS at r/shavebazaar. He had it returned to him, so he sent me just a few goodies to make up for it. Details in comments. by Tophersaurus168in wicked_edge

I did not return it, his post office did. It simply took an extra few days to get here and this was his compensation.

Super-Max, Topaz Platinum, Treet Classic, Treet Platinum

Wilkinson Sword, Persona Super, Trig Silver Edge, Lord Cool

Tiger Superior, Bolzano Superinox Inossidabile, Gillette Platinum, Vidyut Zorrik Super

Super Platinum, Racer Super, Elios Inox, BIC

As for the other DE, I believe it's a '54 Fatboy that we were talking about in the context of how well Scrubbing Bubbles can clean up old steel.

Thanks again, JazzleSAURUS!

EDIT: It's a '54 Fatboy!

Gaming pad question by Tophersaurus168in gaming

[–]Tophersaurus168[S] 0 points1 point ago

It's honestly going to be mostly FPS. Obviously if I'm playing things like Skyrim I'll need a full keyboard, but for something like Counter Strike it seems like it would incredibly beneficial to have the controller and have it all in one place in the hand. I guess the major concern would be responsiveness of the joystick and the ability to use the left and right clicks.

The programmability seems like another benefit that I'm just not too familiar with. Are the keys customizable enough that if I ended up playing things that don't fit into general control settings like FPS, would I be able to change it enough? I started looking because I can honestly invest into a good gaming mouse, or a good gaming pad, but I can't justify both to myself. It seems like the pad would be a good all around choice.

I do not have a PS2, but I have plenty of games and other electronics. Anything specific you'd be interested in?

God forbid someone find comedy in something. It must mean the downfall of society, and the end of your precious internet world where things were always the way you wanted.

I don't always play my playstation but when I do... by Slippyyin gaming

I'm not sure. I can't think of a time I've ran into that problem, and I've had my system since the original release. I sometimes update on boot though, so I might not have ever had the overlap.

I found this incredible "hack" for it. If you look, really, really closely, in the bottom right corner (it's in this picture too!) there's a button you can push for 'cancel'. Then it leads straight to the home page! I couldn't believe it! I then do whatever the fuck I want on my PS3 for hours, and before I turn it off, I hit the 'system update' button, and there's another secret button for 'turn off system when update complete' and can do whatever the fuck I want for hours away from my PS3.

That's the second vote for the Triple Fi 10's, and thanks for the tip regarding the sale! I have them in my cart now to hold onto until the price drops. I'll probably pick them up at that point and have another pair tide me over until then.

That's the hardest part I'm trying to overcome. I want good headphones, but not ones that eliminate all outside noise. Difficult balancing. It does reduce the price range I'm looking at though, because that seems to be the most major contribution to going up in price: the ability to cancel out sounds.

I've actually been avoiding sounds isolating ones specifically for this reason. I want to be able to hear the music over average road noise, but still be able to hear important details (i.e. honking, screeching, cop sirens). I noted that I'm looking at the Sleek ones in a previous comment, and those seem like a good idea because of the detachable cord, in case it gets caught on anything I'm not tearing apart a pair of buds. I'll have to look into the HF5's though, I haven't heard of them before.

How's the build quality? The few pairs of Shure headphones I've owned have been absolutely terrible and were irreparable after only a few months, but then again I've never owned a pair in that price range before.

I also just saw a suggestion of Head-fi for the Sleek SA1, which is my frontrunner for now.

I suppose some context would be good for within reason: I guess less than $200 would be reasonable for in ear. They don't need to be top quality sounds (it's already going to be somewhat degraded due to road noise, lack of complete focus, etc.) but I still want to have something that I can be able to have good quality mids and lows, and that if need be, can be appreciated in a non-public context if my Sennheisers aren't available.

Man the IE80 looks nice but so completely unreasonable at that price.
