Penny Arcade - Recycling by genequagmirein Diablo

[–]Toloran 3 points4 points ago

Yeah, sometimes I wonder whether I'm playing on a completely different server from all the other US players because, although i've had lag and one disconnect, I haven't had any difficulty connecting to the game and I'm playing during semi-peak hours (2pm - midnight, PST). Admittedly, I didn't connect day 1 because of work/school.

Wizard glitch: Arcane mines + hydra = bugged by PKCarwashin Diablo

[–]Toloran -10 points-9 points ago

Sounds less like a glitch and more like a cap intended to prevent too much crap from being on the screen.

A buddy of mine works at Kenan Advantage Group (they deliver gas to stations) and I seem to recall that they're hiring.

Malice is a legal term of art. It also includes a willful disregard for the safety of others.

Best Diablo 3 Review ever. by stroudin gaming

At the very least, it makes me feel better since I can't play today (or most of tomorrow) anyway.

In fact, it's probably a good thing I didn't ask for today off from work. I get paid AND get to skip over the login screen purgatory :D

Psychologists now believe fledgling psychopaths can be identified as early as kindergarten by Ze_Cariocain science

Yeah, I'm pretty sure any kindergartner tested would register as a psychopath.

I'm still wondering whether he has acromegaly/gigantism or something similar. It would explain why he keeps having joint/bone problems and why (to me) he looks so much older than he really is.

That would just encourage the other district to falsely convict the other for money.

Better solution: Continue to wear tan pants to walmart and when someone asks you for directions, insult them and tell them to go find it themselves.

If I travel the same route more than once on my bike am I recycling? by pleaslein shittyaskscience

[–]Toloran 14 points15 points ago

Short Answer: Varies by city/state.

Long Answer: Many cities, such as Portland, Oregon, actually give tax credits to cyclists who recycle. However, across the river in Shelbyville (Vancouver), they actually fine individuals who recycle due to the increased wear and tear on what little bike lanes they have.

The trick is you have to use an appropriately shaped mold when you freeze them. Otherwise, you might end up with the wrong kind of animal.

Kind of like how humans give out the mutilated sexual organs of plants as part of our courtship rituals.

A friend invited me over to play D&D recently. I have never played before... by RobotCoyotein gaming

For the most part, I agree with this. On the flip side, you can roleplay by playing poker.

The problem with 4e (beyond just being different) is that it has a purely mechanical focus. The mechanics are completely divorced from fluff. This makes them easier to refluff (which 4e supporters like) but innately uninteresting (which 4e haters dislike).

My first set of dice! I'm a 26 year old mother of two, and am now on my first d&d campaign with my friends. It's addicting as hell. Any superstitious gamers out there have advice for my dice? by boredomishnessin rpg

[–]Toloran -1 points0 points ago

I put my (not terrible) dice into a ring around a pie tin. I put the offending die into the tin, pour a measure of (bad) whiskey over it, and light it on fire. That way, the rest of the dice know what'll happen to them if they act up.

Seems to work.

Well, the first time I saw the post I had a mental hiccup and thought you had FOUND a lost dog. Then my reading comprehension kicked in and realized you had lost one (and that the subsequent information didn't jive with my brother's dog). As such, I deleted my original post :x

Woah, massive twilight zone moment.

My brother lives in Tigard and has a cockapoo named Cooper. However, his dog isn't missing and lives over on Bonita Rd.

Creepy. Good luck on finding him though.
