For a cheap retro-throwback option I'll also suggest Alien vs. Predator Classic 2000, which is only $1.24 per copy. Doesn't have true co-op per se, but back in the day it was pretty fun having a few people on the team of marines vs. one person playing as an alien.

I've put 60 hours into it, and have one level 5 medic and the rest of my classes are between levels 0-2. So still got quite some playtime left for me.

Unfortunately the coupons they're giving out now aren't valid for the Steam Christmas sale unless you've got a gold coupon, and I haven't heard of any of those out there for KF.

If I remember correctly, though, if you buy one copy you get two limited-time guest passes. So you could buy a copy, gift the passes to your buddies, see if they like it, and keep your fingers crossed it goes as a daily deal again tomorrow.

That's probably it. I used to play more L4D with friends, which is still a really fun game, but I think the addictive leveling-up, different classes, and strategizing with friends over voice chat as the game is happening ("Oh shit, scrake coming this way! Can someone snipe him please?!") make KF more fulfilling.

Right now there is a Twisted Christmas event going on where the monsters have been temporarily re-skinned to be Christmas themed. They do about 2 of those sorts of things a year, which keeps it interesting. Also should add there's a neat map in there based on Portal 2.

I've had tons of fun and spent many many an hour playing Killing Floor with friends locally and over headsets. Sorta like L4D's survival mode, but with more strategy and RPG elements.

Was on sale for $5 a few days ago, but $10 a pop is still an awesome buy in my book.

I crafted my first set of 7 coal and got Torchlight. Amazingly, I did not already own this game, despite having 371 other games in my library. Yay!

Just wanted to add in case it helps save time that I won the achievement with a full house - 3 Queens and 2 Kings. However, I beat Strongbad's hand which did, in fact, have 3 kings.

I didn't hold any kings and won with only 2 on the table. So maybe it's a liiiiiitle bit easier to win than it seems at first glance.

Beat Hazard also has a few achievements pertaining to survival mode and the newly-added Christmas radio stations.

I unlocked them a couple of times each, but they don't "stick" as they aren't officially on the Steam servers yet.

UCF has the best defence at home in the nation statistically, but we still need all the fan support we can muster! If you're a Valencia student who hasn't quite been sold on the idea of going to UCF post-A.A., I strongly encourage you to attend just so you can see that we have just as much fun as the folks at UF and FSU. It's bound to be an awesome game.

My cat loves to look out my brother's window which faces the main street of our neighborhood. Most of the time my brother is cool with this and let's the cat in the room when he hears meowing, or he just keeps the door open so the cat can go in and out. Occasionally, however, my brother will be wrapped up in some online game with his friends and doesn't get up to open the door at my cat's increasingly loud insistence.

When this happens, my cat is then known to go into my brother's bathroom across the hall, jump up on the counter, knock the toothbrush in the sink, and then do his business on top of the toothbrush. I should mention that the cat can go in and out of his litter box at any time, which I keep in my bathroom.

God I love my cat.

I saw that exit just a couple of weeks ago! In fact, we lost a UCF window flag (we were at the UCF vs. BYU game the night before) going west on US-50, so if you spot it on the side of the road let me know!
