First time trying to do this... by SKBlackIrisin loseit

When we finished college, my husband was 316 lbs. He is 6' and pretty large frame, so it wasn't as bad as some people at that weight but it was definitely unhealthy and he had self-esteem issues. One day we were in a book store looking for tomes that would guide him to weight loss when we stumbled on Good Calories Bad Calories, by Gary Taubes. It's a good read, if dry, but the basic premise is this: stop eating carbohydrates as much as possible. Avoid bread, potatoes, sugars, anything that has a lot of carbs and the simpler the carbohydrate the worse it is for you.

I'm not saying what Taubes writes is something you should heed as gospel, but for one month try to keep your carbohydrates to 20% or less of your daily caloric intake. My husband lost 70 pounds just by doing this, well for 12 months not just 1, but after one it was obvious to us it was working. Now that he weighs less, working out is easier so we do that every day and it is helping build muscle and increase resting metabolic rate.

It is a constant battle, and there have been periods where he has gained some of the weight back and starts eating awful fast food and the like, but as soon as he starts restricting carbs again it melts back off. Clearly this is not a healthy thing to do, with see-sawing body mass, but it does reinforce the success of eating more protein, more fiber, and more carbs from vegetables.

I disagree, I'm a female with narrow hips and they can be that way, especially if they're turned a bit.

To OP, I love your style. This drawing is beautiful! The way you captured the side of her neck and the small depressions in the belly are subtle but they draw the eye. That being said, I think the only thing that bothers me about this female's form is that her left shoulder is drawn up but her left hip is down and forward. If I do that in the mirror, the left side of my waistline is pulled taut, removing the "hourglass" shape from the left side but increasing it on the right. I don't know if that description made sense but I hope it helps.

If I could offer any advice, don't touch this drawing anymore, it's gorgeous. Do, however, make quick sketches of it and play with the waistline and see what you think.

Wow. My profession is working with and studying DNA mutations, copy number alterations, balanced translocations, insertions, derivatives, and inversions and it is shamefully embarrassing at how old these references are.
FYI, translocations, insertions etc... are not random. These types of DNA rearrangements are frequently mediated by low copy repeats and sequences that contain high homology throughout the genome. They also frequently occur without causing an abnormal phenotype as well.

I'm a not very hairy girl, I just don't like the poky hair stage so I shave about every 2-3 days. Do most women not shave that often?

My husband and I bought a Merkur HD razor and 100 Shark blades in August of 2010. We both shave (almost) every day. We have gone through 2/3 of the blades, and about 20 dollars worth of Prorasso shave soap.

They aren't hard to use if you take your time, and let the weight of the razor do the work. It's entirely too economical to ever go back to cartridges.

It's marginal tax rate, not absolute tax rate. 94% only applies to everything above $2.3 million earned per year. Then there is a bracket below that, and below that, etc., all the way down.

This could certainly be just a case of language differences. In the states compulsory third party is generally referred to just as 'liability' and is mandatory in, I believe, all states save New Hampshire. And insurance follows the vehicle here as well, but there are also things that can follow the insured persons. For instance, depending on the company underwriting the policy, basic medical payments (for minor injury) may follow you as a pedestrian, so in the event you are struck by a vehicle while walking you are modestly protected.

Depending on the carrier, you might also have your broadest coverage follow you to a rental vehicle as well, or to a borrowed vehicle even.

But when we get down to actuarial brass tacks, your primary garaging address is one of the main components of risk assessment and thus policy price. Of course, in the states we do the sneaky business of pulling your credit report as well, and basing your rates off of that (composited with some other factors and rolled into what's called an Insurance Score), save for in California.

I think I would prefer to leave credit out of it, since all it does is surcharge the poorest customers for being poor.

I don't know anyone who uses the term risk address since insurance follows an insured in almost all cases. Garaging address refers to the overnight address of a vehicle, but it's not like it's the only place you are covered for 'risk'. Same goes for a home policy; liability coverage attached to most home policies follows you around the world. There is no sense calling a garaging location or premises a 'risk address' since the risk is mobile.

If your car was parked at your residence (the garaging address) for the night, and you don't have contents coverage (most people don't) then you should be able to claim the loss as part of your personal property coverage under your homeowner's or renter's insurance. It will be subject to a deductible, but if your deductible is only 1000 dollars you could end up ahead.

Also, in the future you should get an inland marine policy and create a schedule for this specific item, that way if it is lost, stolen, or destroyed by an included peril you can get it replaced without any deductible.
