My friend and I call this "Super Platinum Smash Reigns." Just take characters from the PG repertoire and put them in here and fuck shit up.

Looks fantastic.

Literally, this is from last year. This was made for Nintendo's press conference when we were sure they were announcing their new console.

Actually, it's based on other vocal and spelling patterns found in the Periodic Table. Sir Humphry Davy, an English chemist, actually went through at least three different names for the element. Based on the original alum (a white powder that had been used since ancient times for dyeing and tanning), he had named it alumium, aluminum, and finally settled on aluminium. The final version, Davy decided, had a "classier" ring to it, and also fit in line with other known elements such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium.

There is a larger explanation found here: http://www.worldwidewords.org/articles/aluminium.htm

I actually learned this originally from Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything. Fantastic read that I suggest everyone check out sometime.

.....LOL.

I mean an official source as in the artist's deviantart page and not just an image.

For some reason I never thought of that mistake in my language.

And thus, the circle is complete. These pictures all originally were posted on r/gaming, and then picked up by other websites. And now they are reposted back here.

Excellent.

No, the publisher CAN have a say in what happens in a game. Usually they sign contracts with development studios and they own the entire IP. An example would be Ratchet & Clank with Sony and Insomniac. Sony owns the IP even though it was internally created at Insomniac.

So while a publisher owns an IP, they DO have a voice in what happens to a game, since they technically own it. While a studio is working on it the publisher can come in and say "You need to remove some complexity to make it more accessible to the larger market. You need to add a multiplayer mode. You can't do that? We'll bring another studio in to tack it on separately." That's just a possibility when someone else is paying you to make the game. Good publishers know and trust the companies who make the games and don't bother them, but you'd be surprised how much it actually does happen all the time.

A company like Valve on the other hand, is privately owned and self-publishes (but actually works with EA on distributing, ironically). So they never have to answer to a board of directors or any stock-holders, which is why they can operate on their "release when we want to" schedule.

tl;dr Publishers do dictate how certain games are made, for good or ill.

I would learn how much my girlfriend's back really hurts from having big boobs. I always tell her I love them (duh), but she is seriously considering getting reductive surgery to help out. I can't even imagine anything like that, so I'd like to know how that feels.

And yeah, sex. She starts orgasming within the first few minutes or so and it just stays and gets better as it goes on. Always been jealous of that, as dudes just get our 3-5 seconds.

What accessories are basically a must to have with your Playstation? by Treewhisperin PS3

I don't know about the Gioteck brand specifically, but they're essentially something like this: at Gamestop. They're in the Impulse Buy section and 5 dollars, but honestly I can't play on my PS3 without them anymore. Get ANY kind of trigger extender. I FULLY support this decision.

What are some good games for the NES/SNES? (not N64) by Luffydin gaming

[–]Taggart451 0 points1 point ago

Really? Just Google "Top 20 NES games" or "Top 20 SNES" games. You really had to come here to make a thread? People's tastes will all account for different things so you're bound to get a wide variety of answers. But there are a lot of games considered to be very good universally so you should at least TRY and make an effort to look. Talk about the ultimate laziness.
