My husband is one of those "finish the game as fast as possible" types, and I prefer to take my time, and meander about and savor the game. we're both playing D3 right now, I'm still at 12 (mostly because I play for an hour at a time, and then get up and do something like make dinner, or clean or whatever needs to be done. I do not have the attention span to play for more than 2-3 hours at a time, in fact I barley have the attention span to sit through an entire movie.) and he's at like 40-something. He keeps offering to power level me and I keep insisting, that maybe if I make a second character, and we want to play together, I'll do that, but this one is my baby. I want to be part of every achievement, and I want to do this one all by myself. We've known each other for almost 10 years though, so he knows whenever I say "I want to do it myself" that I am serious.

I've always thought that it takes a certain type of person to appreciate Rush. Their music is so incredibly complex and structured. And I've found that most of the Rush fans I've encountered are at least dabblers in some sort of musical instrument. So i think that you have to have an appreciation for how hard they work to get the sound that they have. And once you have that appreciation, you realize just how "next level" they are as musicians.

I'm the same way. Only my parent's also listened to it.

While other girls my age were all deciding which of the new kids they liked best, I was in a corner talking about how dreamy Roger Daltrey was.

And now, all of my favorite rock stars are either dead, or they have their best days WAY behind them (aside from Rush, I don't think they're going to stop touring until one of them dies).

Edit: And apply for EVERYTHING that requires less than 5 years experience, the worst that will happen is that they will pass on your resume, but more often than not you will still get considered.

The "cost of post-secondary education" argument is bullshit. My mother didn't go to college, I am a relativity fresh out of school engineer, and she makes almost TRIPPLE what I make. Two of her brothers didn't even finish high school but are now successful business owners (they both own their own plumbing businesses). Another of her brothers has a GED and is doing just fine. These people may not have been book smart, but dammit they are HARD WORKERS. I do not come from a family where we had money. My family is several generations of farmers and laborers.

Getting out of poverty is not that difficult if you just put in the work.

You DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO COLLEGE to be successful.

even before GF, I was never a big fan of meat, and was an extremely picky eater. Adding the GF restriction makes finding foods I like hard (especially because most of my favorite foods were cereals/breads/roux based).

Now, I mostly just eat lots of steamed veggies and plain white rice, and the few GF cereals I can find when I'm lazy (which is... often). Gorilla Munch is okay, but I have to go all the way across town to whole foods to get it. And then when I get there, the place is PACKED, so I stick with the ones I can pick up at Albertsons.

hrm.. I'll haveto look at that. Before going GF I ate cereal for the majority of my meals (I just really love cereal, and it didn't seem to upset my tummy as much as any other foods did).
