There is also howlongtobeat.com and they show times for games including older games not on the current consoles.

I guess I'm the minority. But imo it just sounds too busy. A lot of the time it doesn't even sound like it's one song it sounds like multiple songs being played over each other without complimenting each other.

He gave them about $2 mil. That's not chump change.

Also children's hospitals are kind of depressing places. Yes he probably helped a lot with his donations but by doing that he gave those kids a memory they'll always have. Some of those kids would be too young to understand the money donation but could appreciate a character from a movie they liked.

I've volunteered at a local children's hospital before. Of course they appreciate money donations and they need them to stay operating. But time donated is what touches children and their families the most.

We're talking about a hospital not an office building. They can't stop work just because something cool or fun happens.

Down with the downvote.. for now. by honorfacein vita

Most of the topics I have seen being down voted have legitimate reasons.

Quite a few topics are doubles. I remember a couple last week where the doubles were even on the same page as the originals.

A lot of the 'Should I get a Vita?' or 'Can you recommend a game for me?' are being down voted because we've had so many. There comes a point when you should just look at the other ones that are the exact same topic with the exact same answers instead of just making a totally new topic.

Another common one that keeps getting voted down is 'when are we getting PS1 ability?' Obviously no one knows yet. We have a ton of these topics where people have said the same thing each time. The answer is we don't know. We didn't know yesterday. We don't know today. And we won't know in fifteen minutes from now. When it's announced I'm almost 100% sure it will be front page here and have so many up votes you will have to almost purposely avoid the topic to not know it's coming.

Another is the 'Should I get a Vita?'. You are coming to the VITA subreddit. You should probably know what most people's answer will be. It's no one here's job to convince you to get or not to get a console. There are a TON of these I'm pretty sure if you read through all of them you'll get a good idea if you want it or not. Or you could just go to Amazon and read the reviews and make your own decision.

Another is someone basically posting a game announcement and just saying 'will/should _______ be released for the vita?'. Vita games announcements are great. Taking EVERY game announcement it just karma whoring. It was said during the big homebrew thing that people wanted this to just be Vita and Vita game stuff. Topics like these have little to do with the Vita other than getting Karma and starting a maybe 5 comment discussion on if a game is coming to the Vita.

Now with comments yes I see quite a bit of down voting but not more than anywhere else on the site.

There's nothing wrong with ports, HD collections or remakes on the Vita. If anything, they're beneficial. by BlueMaximain vita

It really isn't though. Essentially they have cut out concept art phase. The difference between say FFVII and FFXIII graphics wise they might as well just be different characters. Yes they know the basic look but it doesn't make building character models any easier or less time consuming.

Let me preface this with the comment 'I know this will be disagreed with and probably down voted'

1st I kind of wonder if you are mistaking porting and remaking. Porting I don't see as taking a long time. Remakes they pretty much recode everything. They use new engines and have to rebuild all the models. Sure they already have the plan and script there but they do have to recode and redesign EVERYTHING. That isn't a quick thing. I don't know where this crazy copy and paste the code into a new engine and click 'HD' idea has come from.

2nd I don't have an issue with some PS and PS2 games getting remade. My issue is more the whole idea that game makers are keeping these games from people. I can go buy a PS for $20 and most of the popular hit games for $20 or less. If you haven't played them I don't feel you've really tried that hard or have THAT much of an interest in it. Seriously the PS games are 15+ years old. You can't tell me you haven't had a spare $40 to go buy a game and the console. That's cheaper than a console game.

I don't think much can be done. douche bags are douche bags and I don't think they can change people.

I usually play single player. I work in the customer service industry and the idea of putting on a headset after wearing one all day to talk to more dicks during my off time doesn't appeal to me.

That being said I usually have the most problems on FPS. Most people I have just run into randomly in other genres like MMO, Music, Casino, Puzzle, Kart or the random RPG that supports multiplayer I haven't really had issues with. I think FPS just have the bad luck to be the trendy 'bro' genre right now.

In addition to what porcus said there is no reason to let everyone see every detail as we work. They see quite a bit already but there isn't any good reason to let our potential audience see everything before the release. There is already a full write up of the original story that this is being worked off of that anyone here can read.

Also we have had multiple people leave the project on not happy terms when they didn't get their way. When that happens a lot of decisions made to appease these people get taken back and changed again. I'd rather not go through the headache of explaining why a potentially decent scene that someone is looking forward to isn't in the end game.

I have also spoken with other leads. I have advised them that my stance is you can put your teams stuff up if you want. But that is limited to your team. Currently Ok who is the head writer doesn't want any of the writing teams work/debates/rough drafts up there. I personally agree with him. I would rather people experience the story as they play and not learn the ins and outs of the story as we write them.

I actually thought of doing that. But I went ahead and put the side ones on just to see how it looked and liked them.

I went ahead and emailed them just telling them I thought it might end up being an issue and got an email today saying they were sending me a free replacement. I actually got a free one from the topic last week so didn't expect a replacement but they have really shocked me with their customer service.

How much money could I get for all this stuff? by Kyle_Hydein vita

[–]StarFireLiz 0 points1 point ago

To GameStop I don't know... maybe 150-200?

To an inexperienced Craigslister probably about 300-400.

To an experienced Craigslister that knows you just want as much as you can get from them. Maybe 250ish.

Ebay. Who knows. Depends on how desperate someone is to jump on a used system and a couple games with mediocre resale value.
