If cooking at 225-250, then it wil usually be between 1.5-2 hours per pound. For a 5 pounder, no more than 10 hours. The smaller butts seem to be on the lower end of the time. However, each butt is unique and some can go faster and some slower, you really need to cook to temperature, final temp should be 190-200.

Cooking at lower temps gives the collagen longer to break down, and generally gives you more tender meat for the pulling.

If you get done early, take it off, wrap it in foil, then a large bath towel and put it in a cooler. It can stay that way for several hours before pulling.

Here is my own review of the new Slave I-

Overall it is a really nice set. The ship is heavy and solidly built. I love the new Han in Carbonite. There are 2 sets of hidden missiles and a mine, the main missiles have an auto-feed magazine with 4 missiles that is well engineered. Lego did sacrifice some interior detail for the firing mechanism so once you lift the canopy (that is not hinged) there is not much inside except a place for Bobba to sit. I would have liked more cockpit detail and a less elaborate firing mechanism.

There is a bunch of weird accessories that seem to fit on the helmet, but they don't show anything in the directions about them. That thing looks like a rocket, I was just playing around with them.

To everyone that pointed out I have the wrong Body on the old Bobba Fett, you are correct. I went back to my shelf and looked in the A-Wing and at some point the heads got switched. The old Bobba is now reunited with his body. Pics will be corrected ASAP.

I will now hang my head in shame for not noticing it myself.

I would put classical music in the same category as baseball- You need to be a fan to appreciate it and enjoy it. You really need to understand music at a deeper level, you need to have a good ear, you need to be able to dig into the nuances and subtleties of the piece.

I enjoy music but I am definitely not a music fan that is always listening, adding new stuff to my playlists and finding deep cuts. In general I am "Meh" with all music.

To my untrained ear, classical music is just boring. Like watching a baseball game, if you don't understand the subtleties, it looks boring. Unfortunately the world is moving so fast and because people want instant gratification, they cant spend the time learning the nuances.

I live in Maryland, near the PA border. I keep my unopened bags in the garage and use one of these- Charcoal Bin I keep the bin on the deck next to the grill and I don't make any efforts to cover it. It keeps my Charcoal dry all the time. I use Wicked Good and the bin will hold a whole bag.

You will Die. A LOT. Don't worry about it. Eventually you wil figure out how to die less. I am happy when my k/d is even or with slightly higher kills. Don't get psyched out by the guys with 20 kills and 2 deaths.

Do you plan to purchase the upgrade packages? or just grind away until you earn it the honest way?

  1. If you plan to earn your gear, then focus on getting points not kills.
  2. Find a class that work for you, but Support and Assault are good for getting non-kill points.
  3. I like support. Drop ammo like its raining and sit back with big magazine Machine Guns. C-4 and Claymores are good for remote kills.
  4. I like conquest, you can get a lot of points just capturing flags.
  5. Learn the vehicles, putting armor between you and the enemy helps keep you alive.
  6. Learn the maps and keep an eye on the flow of battle.
  7. Be a good team member and not Rambo.

First, get a second and third opinion. Don't take any chances with that kind of prognosis.

Since you asked what I would do-
1.Spend as much time with my kids as possible
2.Take my family to as many cool places as I can afford to
3.Have some crazy adventures- Skydiving, Scuba diving, anything that fear holds me back from doing.

The most important thing I would do is record messages for my kids that they can play at different times in their life (high school prom, first date, driving, college, weddings, etc..) so that even though I won't be physically with them, I can still be part of their life.

I really like my ribs that way. I love it when the bone comes out clean.

You may want to try and take them off earlier. Time is only a guide, you should be pulling at the right temp. At 195-200 is when pork will fall apart, if you want them more firm, try pulling them at 175-180.

I will ONLY fly Southwest and I fly for business multiple times each month. I've been on almost every airline and SouthWest is the most efficient airline with and the best customer service in the industry.

The Southwest service policies are the best around. I can re-book my flight for a cheaper fair at any time for FOR FREE. My Bags fly for FREE. If I miss my flight, I get 100% of my fare as a credit to be used in the future. How is that bad?

The article CanadianPhil posted below are isolated incidents and most can be attributed to a single person (in each incident) in a company of 37,000.

Its not scumbag to write a script to to do your work.

Its maybe a little scumbag to be essentially stealing bonuses from the other people.

The questions are-
-Do they have one bonus pool and divide it among everyone based on the amount of work so that every month the same amount of money is handed out?
-Or is it simply based on how much you do individually and the bonus pool is simply the maximum amount of money handed out?
-Does your script actually take away money from them? If not, then don't worry about it.

It might be a good idea to add some randomness to the script and slow it down a little so the bosses don't catch on as quick. Make each month slightly different with ups and downs.

I have a Big Green Egg and LOVE it.

The BGE has an advantage of better quality (over 30 years in business), a great community (look at the EggFests and the forums), an eco-system of people making accessories, and they have good customer service. BGE is like the Apple of Smokers, and you really do become a fanboy very quickly. Primo is very good as well, but I don't have one. All of the other copycat smokers may cook just fine but you may find that accessories and the community around them is not as big.

Im a Fucking ROCK STAR at my job. I am one of the best at what I do within my company and everybody in my organization looks up to me as a leader ( I am not in management). If you ask me any other time I am very humble, "Just doing my job".

I have raised 2 incredible daughters on my own. Their mother is worthless, crazy piece of shit so its been all me.

You will find that with the BGE you really dont need to do the foil at the end. One of the traits of the BGE is that it won't dry out the food. Anything you cook is just naturally more juicy when cooked on the Egg.

I have not tried brining my butts yet, let us know how it turns out.

My favorite Burgers. I live in the east but travel all over the country. I have had In-and-out, and Five guys is better. In-and-Out is a solid burger, I eat there when I'm in California, but it's just not as good.
