I'd stay stick with her! She's helping you, which is her job, but obviously you get along with her really well... and in my opinion, that can only help the healing process - someone you are totally comfortable talking to, enjoy being around, a therapist you look forward to seeing, etc... As long as there aren't advances made I don't see any problem with it!

That is absolutely normal when coming off an SSRI, yeah. I remember when I stopped my Paxil awhile ago, the simplest things would make me cry. For example, I had ran to a store to pick up a few things with a family members credit card - they asked for ID, so I couldn't use it. I paid with cash instead, but immediately after walking out of the store I started bawling. It's definitely a different feeling!

This probably isn't the answer you want to hear, but you can look into botox injections. Unfortunately it is pretty expensive unless you have healthcare that covers it.

Call her therapist / psychiatrist. Tell him about her alcohol problems (if she gets Xanax, he ABSOLUTELY has to know this) and tell him about your other drug suspicions and how bad everything is. He needs to know whats really happening at home to help her.

Well, I guess no subreddit is truly neutral. However, if you take just the name - gaming or politics - it should be. They usually are not do the majority viewpoint being upvoted, but the subreddit name itself does not actively encourage one belief or another.

i agree that /r/atheism should not be a default subreddit. I undestand that it was chosen because of it's size, but it differs in content from the other defaults. Politics is about political discussion. World News is about world news. All neutral subreddits. However, /r/atheism is a subreddit that takes a distinct stance (that God does not exist) just as /r/Christianity infers that God does exist. These are subreddits that people should have to choose whether or not to subscribe too.

You can't rush getting off an SSRI or similar drug after being on it for a long time.. It's going to be tough, but if you do it correctly it won't be that bad - try looking at the website Paxil Progress - they have a general taper guide to gradually reduce her dose (for Paxil, but I believe other medications would be similar). You will want to get the liquid form of the medicine if possible, as it allows you to be much more precise when lowering the dosage. Good luck!

I don't have much advice for you, just wanted to say I know it's tough and I'm proud of you for wanting to quit - so don't give in!

I'd try to find a recovery site. You can get advice from others who are going through the same thing you are, you can write a journal there with your progress to help hold yourself accountable. For example, SoberRecovery.com. Good luck man, it will be so worth it in the end.

Are you scripted? Find an urgent care, show the doc your script and tell him you were really stressed about your situation so you took more than prescribed, and you just need sone to tide you over until your next refill
