He has tremendous talent, but like many of our players is really inconsistent. I feel he wasn't played enough. Particularly in games where it was obvious that we needed his athleticism, defense, and length. I remember the last time we played the Spurs, we had Derrick Williams (???) guarding Tim Duncan. Not only is Derrick a rookie (albeit a good one), but he is significantly shorter and less experienced than Duncan. It is beyond me why Adelman would not call on Randolph to sub in during these times. If he can improve his shot and consistency like he seemed to a bit from last season to this season, I'd love to see him as a backup to Pek, even over Darko in a lot of situations due strictly to his talent. I also don't doubt his commitment. Sometimes he doesn't play well, but when he gets minutes he plays his heart out. We need guys like him, and if our core gets stronger he may be motivated, I can see him being a good bench player.

He's not vital, but shows some serious playing ability at times. I've been behind him since the beginning of the season, would like to see him back.
