Either way, I just took 10 seconds to google it. And found out that it's the most popular subreddits that take the defaults.

But I'm fairly sure that if by some act of god (whichever one), a specific religion wound up gaining a lot of popularity they would get A default. But that would be very strange seeing how (insert religion here) would be defaulted along with /r/atheism.

Also I'm sure /r/atheism would have a fit.

but also seeing that /r/Christianity have more than half a million to go to catch up. I don't see it happening any time soon.

All humans are born atheists.

No one is born religious.

They are introduced to it later on.

They may eventually make up their own religions down the road.

But I see no reason why anyone would associate you with any one of the millions of religions when on reddit. It's probably a default until otherwise stated.

Sad Skrillex [FIXED] by djclovin AdviceAnimals

[–]Sixty-to-Zero 1 point2 points ago

Skrillex actually has the best live dubstep formula in my opinion.

He mixes his drops slightly different each show so it's different every time. So it is in fact live. Like most Djs are clubs he has a setlist of songs to pick from, except he made all his own music. Along with the fact he can modify his songs live.

He also uses beat repeaters that glitch the sounds up along with adding to the music. This gives each song more of a different feel. Especially with transitions.

But the best tool he uses is his use of unreleased music. This keeps things fresh and exciting.

He plays live better than most musicians today. Because it's NOT exactly like the albums.

I recently Got a job at Guitar Center (last week was the end of my "training") by Sixty-to-Zeroin Guitar

[–]Sixty-to-Zero 0 points1 point ago

I can't imagine how they would track me down let alone feel necessary to But I can look.

There are ways to find out who I am, but I'm very sure they would need...

  1. To find out (unlikely)
  2. Care (very unlikely)
  3. Go through the proper channels to figure out my identity. (Time Consuming)
  4. Figure in if I was a non valuable asset. (turns out I'm not doing a bad job so far. Doing nicely.)

All must be done for them to consider firing me.

So far I have yet to hear anything loud enough to make me wince. but I have been in guitar center long enough to have people who have no idea what they are doing. Turn up.

But I figured I could ask them if I could see the guitar. Bust out some licks and while I'm doing that, make a funny face, turn it down and give it back to them.

but thanks for showing me that video man made me lol.

After 30 days of working there yes. I googled the exact number but I couldn't find it. But I know it's substantial.

I should probably do a weekly or bi-monthly Through the eyes of a Guitar Center Employee thing for guitarrit to give more information and give a nice expose on the company.

Cool perks I think would include, besides being able to look at all the guitars and talk about guitars and play them once in a while whenever a customer wants one. We learn about all the interesting little things guitar center owns. For example Live wire is an in house brand. Lifetime warranty. So if a livewire chord breaks. All you have to do is return it and we give you a new one free. Another Perk is that We have access to placing orders on guitar so if I sell something in particular, I can put a word in as to what guitar we should get next. I'm hoping we get a Kurt Cobain Mustang soon. Because we already have the KC Jag on the way.

Little things like that are helpful to know when buying, and selling. Another perk to me is that since I have musician friends and they will be asking me questions, now I can actually show/sell them things that they want or are curious about.

So I take it you're working with Sweetwater now? Or something else? If so, I'd like to see you do an AMA but please wait until I'm done so I don't get swept under the rug. : (

But yeah I'm glad you brought up the sales in-fighting and weird relationships between employees and customers. Right now. There is a salesman named Ben I work with. He is a guitar salesmen, but mainly works in the Acoustic room. I've been warned by every employee there to either Stand you ground and tell him that I have every right to sell acoustics too, or make sure to avoid him at all costs. Because he has yelled at every employee that goes on his turf. He's a good salesman so they can't do much about it.

So far I've decided to wait until I can stand my ground and face him with Product Knowledge and sheer power of will. Right now I am too weak to fight with him. But soon I'll be able to wisdom the fuck out of him. Hopefully. Then we should be on good terms.

On the Sales Ideas, I'm learning my strengths and weaknesses so far just by speaking with customers, and my co-workers but I feel I will get the hang of it. Some people go in to buy a guitar but not sure which one but will definitely be leaving with one. And others are just there to check some stuff out. I'll help both equally. Because I know if they come back and see me, they'll feel comfortable with me.

So far most of those statements are very accurate.

  1. We aren't allowed to haggle (without a manager) at all. The mark ups aren't terrible but they could be be easier on the customers. But we often have people who haggle and they usually get a mild amount off and like a pack of strings or something.

  2. GC training isn't very practical seeing as they use flash videos in this newgroundsy blam this piece of crap quality to train in the beginning. But I think in the 6 years you have been absent they've been updated. I'm not sure about the quality of the update but definitely updated since they they have 2009* as to when it was updated. But Prior knowledge is very important. Outside research is a great tool. It's what I use the most. I often use the Price Portal to just look up information on google to make sure I'm getting the right information.

  3. Used gear is very dependent on the people who bring it in. The Guitar Center I work at has 4 Gibson SG's awesomely priced and 2 that I've never even seen before! There is one with a mirror top. MIRROR TOP. not a pickguard. One like an SG goddess except without the burst it's more of a wine reddish color. But yeah we get some of the neater vintage stuff.

  4. I've actually been able to sell, but not guitars obviously. So you are mostly right yes. Manager approval is a must.

[–]Sixty-to-Zero 4 points5 points ago

So far yes I really really like it. I used to go to guitar center and just dick around and play every guitar and amp there. I was fascinated by them and wanted to know more. Now I get to work there and explain to people, that were just like me, the guitars I enjoy and what would make their musical experience much better.

I've so far really wanted to give a kid his first guitar and make him happier. Just knowing that I got him a guitar he's going to enjoy for years is why I really wanted to do this. I mean I was that kid, now it's my turn to give kids the tools and ideas so they can express themselves.

But yes it's a neat job, even though since it's a chain store the employees have more duties than meets the eye. I'm doing it for the kids.

Basic retail experience is what they are looking for, except I had none. However, I had something I pitched to them as being worth more than sales experience. And that's Product Knowledge. I know a fair deal about guitars and accessories. Not NEARLY as much as the people who have been working there for a year or more. But I do actually know a bit more than the people who have been Taught it by guitar center but don't work in guitars. Mainly because Guitar Center gives you sales tools to learn about every department e.g. Pro Audio, Drums, Accessories Guitars etc.

If you don't know something, they can teach you and you get "certified" in a section. I am Level 1 certified in guitars. Which is basic knowledge to any guitarist (or should be) Woods, pickups, body styles, functions etc. But I can get Expert if I get through levels 2 and 3. Which is a lot harder. 3 has to deal with guitar history ironically. But I enjoy this so it should be fun.

They gave me the job immediately in the interview after I explained my skills. In my case it was my excited and easily chit chatable personality that made them wanna hire me the most besides Product Knowledge.

TL;DR Sales Experience, and product Knowledge are musts. But personality plays a major role because if you're a sales guy you can't be awkward.

He's implying that people would feel cheated unless they know.

Like I'm sure this guys is sitting there either like "Wow, I had no idea, I mean I guess I suspected it but I still had hopes it was real. okay.jpg"

or just "okay.jpg"

Which if you look down on OP's post it's clearly apparent he thought it was legit.

Oh no, I was just informing him because it'd be wrong for someone to hold on to something with the idea that it's a legitimate Gibson.

I mean wouldn't you want to know ahead of time, before you told everyone it's real and you got it for a great price and accidentally sell it to a friend or co-worker or shop and find out from them it's fake?

but it's still a neat grab.
