Just a quick note that the sidebar / TOTM concerns are noted (and yeah, this place definitely deserves more love). Gonna mull it over at the weekend (with the other two guys), and get back to you guys ASAP.

Pretty sure one of those mods is me, but that isn't to say that we've not been active (from the mod logs).

Haven't got the time at the minute to go into minute details, but I've been aware of the stagnation, and shall pester my fellow mod buddy's about how we're going to resolve it this weekend.

This was the conclusion I came to, although mine was a lot less intelligent and was less a 'conclusion' and more a case of running out of time and will.

I mostly brute forced the problem before reducing it down to trying to find something in the series 2ⁿ that divided by 3 (I got up to 2¹² before realising that this was probably not happening). A bit of googling on 2^n, leads me to believe that this is due to unique prime factorization.

I run mmaurls.com where it automatically tags news submissions with 'relevant' words from the articles. Matty regularly trends there.

Cheers for the kind words, yeah belt count was only really possible due to the belt system and was far from accurate. I might look at delving into the reddit API further down the line to see if I can pull that stuff out again.

1 last suggestion that is not necessary at this point, but as this sub reddit grows, people may began to abuse the belt flair (saying they are a black belt when they're not)

I'm taking the laid back approach with this personally (and I've not discussed this with either the community or the other mods - so I'm more than happy to change my mind if enough people give a shit), and going with the mantra that if someone's lying about their belt grade - so what? For me, it's a nice indicator that whoever's spouting advice knows what they're talking about, but I think everyone should beware that the internet is generally anonymous, so evaluate advice on merit rather than who's speaking it.

I (and I expect, the other mods) have no problem with people discussing toking and rolling on here. There's a fair bit of overlap, and it'd be naive to expect people to ignore the topic altogether, especially with the likes of Eddie Bravo going around talking about the benefits of weed smoking.

I would guess that this post is getting downvoted not because of its subject (although some will be, obviously), but more because it feels like a twitter update than a question or something entertaining / informative.
