Subatomica (Flash)

The LD page

Use the y position of the mouse to control the charge of your particle. Get to the goal on the right hand side! Like charges repel, opposites attract.

I agree, there could certainly be more options there, it's just left up to the user entering into the progress notes, but I'd rather tick a box.

Here's my initial backlog! I have yet to add Steam, PSN, XBLA, PS2 or PSP games.

Sure, I guess it's not helpful for everyone! I personally like the "to do" nature of it, but I'm a lists kinda guy...

Who's doing LD #23 by 00betin gamedev

[–]SFBTom 0 points1 point ago

I'm excited, this'll be my first LD! I've always been busy or have something come up at the last moment, but not this time. Definitely not my first game jam though, I think this'll be my 7th? Then I have another the weekend after LD, at Pinewood Studios!

Hey, thanks! Adam (the animator) is doing a really great job so far!

It's being developed for iPad, iPhon, Android tablets, Android phones and the PlayBook. It could potentially be released on PC/Mac too, but we're not sure about that yet.

Closest thing to a dev blog is our Facebook page or our Twitter account

Work on Detective Grimoire has been going pretty steadily this month. Most exciting is the new deduction minigame mechanic. Any time Gimoire needs to make an important deduction, you get to spell it out for him. What makes it far more fun than it has any right to be is that Edwyn, our voice actor from the detective, has recorded the lines in such a way that any combination can be read out by him!

Anyway, here're some shots/gifs of the game lately:

Best language/engine for me to develop simple point-and-click and 2D side scrolling games for iOS and Android? by LakeRatin gamedev

[–]SFBTom 0 points1 point ago

Our current point and click adventure game for Android and iOS is being built in Flash and compiled for those platforms using AIR. I can tell you that for this type of game, it's absolutely perfect! http://www.facebook.com/DetectiveGrimoire

Thanks! You were there? Or you saw the video when it went up?

I should probably mention that I'm talking about making games in Adobe AIR, which if you haven't used it is Flash compiled to run like a native app (for iOS, Android and others). NOT Flash in the mobile browser, which is actually officially dead!

Although actually, a lot of the talk isn't technology specific, and can be applied to any mobile game.

Heh, probably would struggle with the two video feeds anyway, its one of those fancy presenter/presentation dealies. Maybe when you get home?

Nice, I like the simple styling, a lot of pinball games just look ugly and overdesigned to me.

Neat, I've been wondering when a good monster catching game would hit mobile!

Very doom-esque. I assume they're enemies? Remind me of the 'bubble' enemies in Zelda too. Nice lighting, self built?
