In all honesty, I am inclined to agree with Grunram. Using a word inappropriately does not qualify itself as a byproduct of an evolving language. The word "irony" still retains a distinct meaning in the English language and you did, in fact, use it incorrectly.

It looks like some kind of ornament. I don't even think she remembers what it is.

I should probably mention that my grandma has green eyes, and it is likely that the clothes were more on a bluish/grayish/whitish color scheme seeing as it was taken in the Soviet Union. That's really just a hypothesis.

I think people are a bit confused with this post. This wasn't me. I was empathizing with the waiter by saying I've experienced this one too many times at the coffee shop I work at in Newport. The picture was taken by the person who went out to eat with their boss. Their boss tipped the waiter 1% of the tab claiming he hates the 99% and thinks they should get "real" jobs. Hope that clears things up.
